I totally agree, I've forked out a lot of money to watch Rovers this season and it's just not worth it. IMO the owners threw last season away by sacking Barton mid way through, only to bring this clown in and f the season up. He's been allowed to bring his players in now and it's just not working and it never will with him in charge as there's no pattern of play. There's no passion with him, he blames the players all the time and never shoulders the blame, especially when it's his decisions that are costing us points. He cannot connect with the fan base. In his pre and post match conferences he speaks with no clue and just says words to impress, he's Mr cliché with his comments. He needs to go ASAP So, a bit like Barton then? Fair point but at least there was some passion from Barton and attractive football, unlike the dour rubbish we have now.

Most of the time we've been in L1 in recent years has been dour rubbish, once the promotion honeymoon period is over. When Holloway had us playing attractive football we were probably matching most clubs playing budgets, now we're light years behind the top sides.

My opinion thrown in for what it's worth.
We were always going to be shi*e until November. I've said that before in previous threads. We have never changed the squad as much as we have and been anything but awful. We started picking up under Barton in November after wholesale changes in the squad. However .....
In order to be given until November like Joey was, to turn it around we have to show progress. At present I see none.
For me Taylor has this week and this week only ( 2 matches ) to show we are progressing or he has to go.
We will then need to break the bank to get Schumacher or lowe in if they will drop down to us.
We need forward thinking managers like Barton was to give us the impetus to grow as a football club again as the Taylor reign had been absolutely sh*t to put it politely.

You ruined it with "We need forward thinking managers like Barton"
Not sure we can risk breaking the bank for any manager, as if he flops he could bankrupt us if we're paying him and MT off at the same time.

If ruining is bigger crowds , brilliant atmosphere compared to the silence we've heard under Taylor, attacking progressive football that encouraged season ticket sales and excitement amongst most of the fanbase then yes please il take ruining over this Trollope we have been watching any day.

Atmosphere isn't generated by a Manager and he couldn't save us from the drop when he took us on. Season ticket sales have been pretty constant as well. Plus Barton is a certifiable looney and the further we distance ourselves from him the better.

I think MT is somewhat measured and professional in interviews which I prefer representing the club than a clown liable to do or say something to bring the club into disrepute.
We've got some promising young players, some returing from injuries etc. I think the best team selection and fomation should become clearer within the next month. In the meantime understand there's going to be mistakes as players find their way and not be too harsh on them.

Have you forget the spell from January until he was dismissed last October? The football during that spell was just as bad as this seasons, JB was sacked because we were performing poorly, he didn't leave of his own accord. JB conned us all last summer talking about promotion.

I can't see him being here long next month if doesn't get a win this week, or at least two battling draws, although if we then lose to Blackpool & Huddersfield he'll still be gone.

Crewe used to know the best formation, selection and style of play, choose it knowing they would often get beat but would be patient until the team gets used to playing in the style and then success would follow. Then sell the players for a lot of money.
If MT said we are likely to get beat a lot but are going to keep selecting players and play a particular style regadless so to gain experience, would Rovers fans be OK with that?

Jon Brady is on a rolling contract. Northampton fans happy with the style of play. A bit marmite for some but he does talk passionately about his side and no little amount of sense.

In his last few matches the defeats we suffered ( with wins in amongst it as well ) Peterborough 2-0 Oxford 2-1 Burton 4-1 In everyone if those defeats we actually played very well in long spells and were damaged by sending offs. Even in those defeats you could see what we were trying to do, the football was still very good and we had a go at all 3 teams and rocked them in spells In all of Taylor's defeats we have been absolutely appalling with no obvious plan or attacking threat at all. Defeats can be accepted if you have a go and it just isn't your day. If you think the football during bartons reign especially leading up to his dismissal was as bad as what we are watching now then your sadly mistaken. Or you don't think what we are watching now is that bad.

All we did was pass it around aimlessly in front of our goalkeeper. MT may not prove to be the answer, but suggesting Barton was playing good football at the end is hilarious.

The sacking feels almost inevitable now. Anything but a win on Tuesday and that feels like the end point.
Thought be played alright first half on Saturday, scored a good goal and at HT you start thinking if we can just get a win. LT misses a chance to put us 2 up against an average Wycombe team/performance. If that goes in....
Think the changes unsettled us and we completely lost our way.
Saturday, I actually thought there were moments of the team we could be as there were against (admittedly a poor) Cambridge side, but we need more of those from somewhere whether it is under Taylor or a new manager as I believe there is potential in this squad.
If the board believe in Taylor and what it is the club have set out to do in the summer, they have to come out and say something and say they are prepared for a struggle this season. That might not go down well with some fans, but feel the club have to come out one way or the other soon as the grumbling and boos will only get louder if we struggle and the club just lets the manager be hung out to dry. They have to back him or sack him IMO.
But first can we work out how to Dam defend a corner
