Can`t agree with that. From what I`ve seen, we have the making of a decent side. As to whether Taylor is capable of getting the best out of them? I`m still not convinced about that one. But 2 wins is 2 wins, so I hope he proves me wrong, and the run continues. Perhaps my wording isn't clear as I agree with you. We do have the makings of a good side, put we play like a poor one. The players aren't the issue, it's the management and style of play(or lack of) which is my issue. The same manager has been in charge for the last two games, it seems more like some of the players haven't been performing to the level required to be competitive in L1. Whilst it's not going to happen if we did score 3 goals in all our remaining games then I doubt anybody will be complaining about the managers style of play even if we play the same style we have been in our last 2 games, Nobody complained about JB's style of play when EA & AC were basically destroying L2 teams alone in L2.

But is it MTs style of play ,he was particularly clear post match that he wants the team to be on the front foot ,driving up the pitch and that clearly didn't happen first half. The half time changes certainly changed that and it was a different game,so seems more like players not executing the plan to me.

Yes, and although we've won, our play has been largely poor. More than satisfied to play poorly and score 3 every week but as you've pointed out, that is not going to happen. Our play during the promotion charge cannot be compared to our set up now. In fact I don't really understand your point..if you have a couple of match winners in your team, the logical approach would be to utilise them, which we did. At the moment we've got our attacking players playing defensively and starving LT, SS, RS of decent service by playing backwards or hopelessly punting it long. Winning matches is the name of the game and I'm sure everyone is happy with the last 6 days haul. My point remains that we look like a poor side and are ugly to watch from a footballing perspective.

So we have 13 points after 10 games. We have only had more points after ten games, twice in the last 12 years and one of those years was in non-league! Barton never had that many points after ten games, even when we were in League 2. DC never had that many points after ten games in League 2 or league 1. So, has this season been as bad as make are saying? If you take out September, we would be flying🤣. In August and October 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat. 4 defeats out of 4 in September! Still a lot of work to do, but not as bad as many are making out. This would be great if you were able to get your facts straight. Darrell Clarke had 13 points from 10 games in 2016/17 in league 1 AND 13 points from 10 games in 2015/16 in league 2 👍🏻

Before the season started, most sensible Gasheads would have said that with the sheer amount of players we’ve signed and the profile of most of those players being young improvers, it would take a few months for the team to gel. We’d clearly bought with the long game in mind.
If like me, you still hold this view a couple of months into the season, then 13 points from 10 is perfectly acceptable.

I meant DC didn't get more points than 13. We actually had 15 last season, as the information I looked at was wrong. But we only got 1 point from the next 3 games.

In the first sentence I wrote more points, but for some reason I than wrote they didn't get that many. He had the same. Still a better start than most seasons.

I actually enjoyed the Charlton match and Burton game and definitely can see what Taylor is trying to do. As I know you are football genius I’m sure you will ignore this, but after two wins, why not a bit of positivity instead always trying justify a negative agenda.

There are two issues at play, we seem to have had a tough start to the season, probably yesterday was the first away game we were expected not to lose, and it also takes time for new players to settle in, probably particularly youngsters like Hutchinson and Garrett who are not used to moving to new clubs and cities. Pirate has now gone full blown anti MT but his suggested replacement has hardly set Crawley alight, as they've lost their first two games under Rob Elliott and apparently put in their worst performance of the season yesterday. When Pirate comes to recommending managers forget it. Garner was his hero, but since he’s tried to rewrite history. Hopefully he’s a lot better at recommending players.

No real quality creation, penetration or regular chances.

Yes that is also a consideration as MT has had more more financial backing than all the other managers. Willing to see how we do until the end of the year though

I find this an interesting comment and one that might turn out to be unfair. You are assuming that MT has a bigger budget due to paying fees for players over the summer. What some are not taking into consideration is the wages. We had a pretty high wage bill in the previous season. As an example and there is no basis of truth in this, its just an example. AC was on £6k per week (just as an example, I have no idea what he was on). We then buy Promise for £500k on a 3 year plus one contract, so over 4 years. That is £125k a year on his transfer fee or £2.4k a week. If the wages for Promise are £3k per week then we are paying £5.4k per week which is actually less that what we were paying for AC last season. A saving of £0.6k per week, £31.2k per year and £124.8k over 4 years. Of course, we will never know what the players are earning each week and we don't have a right to know. However, when we talk about the manager being backed, we can't just assume that because we paid a fee we are paying more for that player. We could be paying less overall.
