Have you ever read Walsall fans opinions of him? I could have asked Exeter fans what they thought of Nicholls, Westbrooke made 20 starts for a Coventry championship winning side?! And if Wimbledon fans asked us what the Road Runner McCormick did the season we went down, we’d have said great player. Then he gets relegated again with Wimbledon! I’m not writing off Hutchinson but he was given to the manager and this manager doesn’t know how to use and motivate him. The club is a mess, Wael is doing a goodbye tour, its why he was in the pub and away end Saturday, mark my words on this. Who's paying for his share?

A couple of good saves by Hall this half, but he needs to work on his punching.

I haven’t been told this but it’s a gut feeling I have, I mean who would buy into a club with a 26 year old running it from Kuwait? If Wael goes he will just sell his shares to them or hand them over for free. He will be liable for 40% of the losses, based on last couple of years account, he is signing off approx £130,000 a month for losses on his part.

Looking at the other scores tonight,it obvious most clubs couldn't give a hoot about this cup, even still losing badly to Swindon is not something us older gasheads enjoy.

I was just responding to the other post but Hutch set the ball rolling with his hospital pass for the first goal. Plus unlike the rest tonight he cost us £250K he's now making Nichols look a bargain at £350K. Manager never knew who he even was, Abdul did the deal because he’s swallowed a Darren MacAthoney book and this is us now. Couple of differences though, he has the best lower league DOF next to him in Barry Fry and a manager who wouldn’t accept being told who to play. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but that all sounds incredulous. Where are you getting these insights from? Also what’s it to do with Hutchinson’s agent about him not playing. Hutchinson not been up to scratch, so does not deserve to play. I do think he will come good. If he wants to leave in January that’s a poor attitude and I don’t see that being the case either yet. He just hasn’t settled.

After Hall's ridiculous punches, you can only say that this has been an embarrassing performance.
If I had my way, I would get rid, as there is something rotten here. Awful!

Disgusting performance from start to finish, regardless of the competition. Embarrassing.

I've just found an old abacus.
Took some effort to calculate.
By my reckoning we cannot make the next stage of the EFL Trophy competition.
Have just cancelled the group hotel booking for the finals weekend.
Still have to play Exeter City at The Memorial Stadium.
Could end up with four points.

The most disappointing thing for me is how exciting that team should be on paper. Jake Garrett - Blackburn's young player of the year last year. Isaac Hutchinson - Rave reviews from Walsall fans Connor Taylor - The fanbase clamoured all summer for him to return last year Luke Thomas - Exceptional League One player on his day Kofi Shaw - Most exciting player to come through the academy in years. These players should be busting a gut to impress and stake a first team space. I'm sure one or two have been, but as a collective that scoreline is not good enough. 1. Jake Garrett actually believes he's better than he is. Big dissapointment 2. Isaac Hutchinson May come good -- But so far a very poor signing 3. Connor Taylor Gone to pot. Not good enough 4. Luke Thomas Dreadful at best. Get rid 5. Kofi Shaw Don't think he's as good as some people are portraying You would think these players would be trying if for no other reason but to put themselves into the shop window for the Huddersfield game. On this basis I'm not sure I would pick any of these listed on the subs bench.

Looked like half our team just couldn’t be arsed. You’d think all of those fringe players would see this as an opportunity.

The owners Wael brought in? The totally inexperienced DoF? The manager who has to deal with the above? The new players who have to contend with all of the above? I guess this is typical Rovers over the years, get £1m+ for a player, or players, and then just totally waste it.

Well done Swindon turned around a very poor start to their season tonight, ok it was against Bristol Rovers, but you can only play what's in front of you!

Tonight sums up Taylor perfectly. Picks three youth players on the bench tonight and doesn’t have the decency to give any of them a runout and perseveres to the end with the likes of McCormick, Thomas, Garrett etc etc etc who were all absolute sh**e for ninety minutes.

I missed the first half, thankfully, so the game was dead by the time I turned on. I was expecting a lot of effort, to try to get a couple of goals at least and make it a little less shameful, but not to be. Some huffing and puffing, and a few shots in the last 20 minutes or so, but some pretty lackadaisical stuff for the most part. Shaw ran around and looked interested, Wilson put himself about when he got on and a couple of good saves from Hall, though his punching at the corner towards the end was pretty poor. I like Luke T a lot, but barely noticed him and doubt he is close to getting back in the starting XI, and the same can be said for most of the rest of the fringe players. I don't care about this competition, but it is just embarrassing to lose 4-0 to a side near the bottom of the league below ours.
