McCormick came on against burton, O’Donkor also came on and so did Moore, all of which played against Swindon and certainly didn’t look like they were playing for the manager. I don’t believe these players are as poor as results are showing. You watched a different game to me. The whole team played for Taylor in the 2nd half. They were up and at them. In another world, fans would say it must have been a great team talk. Taylor is damned whatever with some. Are you joking? It ended 4-0 with all the goals scored in the 1st half. A response from the players after a half time team talk is where we actually pull goals back… what was that poor side who managed to claw two goals back after going 3-0 down to Swindon…. Ahh yeah, Cheltenham!

MT started last December not this August? If that's a reply to my stats I clearly stated that was the start of their first full season in charge. Clough and Brady also took over part-way through a season but the better comparison between all three and Taylor is after their first summer in charge...

If MT were to leave I've said here before I think Jon Brady would fit with the club and fan base. In budget too. Not sure how he'd get on with the owners boy though I thought he basically accused Rovers of cheating to get promoted when they missed out on promotion? Apart from eventually getting Northampton promoted I can't see he's done anything great as a manager to make him a better option to MT. You sense he'll be another one totally out of his depth when he turns up at Rovers on his first day.

Just looked up the results for Gerry Francis’s first season in 87-88. We had 12 points from our first 10 games, one less point than we currently have from 10 games. Should Gerry have been sacked or allowed to build a winning team? He should have been allowed to build a winning team. So should MT. Having watched performances over the course of the last 10 months, I have my doubts about his ability to do this. I hope I`m wrong though, and that the two league wins on the trot are a sign that he may be getting a grip on matters, rather than just being an aberration in his ( so far ) unedifying managerial reign. He deserves a chance , he’s created an overhaul of over half the squad in the summer and then got us to within 3 points of the plays offs in our first 10 games. That’s better than the majority of managers we’ve had in my time. It’s very early days, let’s see what we can do. I didn’t enjoy watching Barton’s teams in league 1, they passed the ball around the back loads and didn’t create much and we mostly looked like we were just waiting to get relegated whilst trying to be the league 1 Barcelona tika taka side with a mid table budget which was never going to work. At least Taylor has more idea about what works with a mid table budget at this level and I think that shows , we’re not trying to run before we can walk and that’s why Taylor actually dd better or at least as good with Barton’s players in league 1 as Barton did. I don’t like the wing backs formation at this level particularly when the squad doesn’t possess the players needed to make it work in my opinion and that does frustrate me about Taylor and think we’re better with a four at the back formation but he’s the manager not me and he’s built this squad so let’s see where it can take us over the coming weeks before we start threads such as “ Taylor sacked” after this game or that ffs it’s embarrassing and goes against everything I’ve ever been part of , known and respected about being a Gashead. There’s a saying - “ the worlds gone mad “ well the world going mad I can handle but Rovers supporters sounding like sh** heads really boils my pizs.

If Taylor is sacked after a loss to Huddersfield away then it won’t be due to results on the pitch as it’s a game we’re not expected to get anything out of and follows two victories.
I’m not Taylor’s biggest fan but he deserves a fair crack of the whip with what is mainly a new squad of players.
If as is rumoured, there are other forces at play in terms of owner interference, then God help us. That never ends well.

Huddersfield away is not exactly a happy hunting ground for Rovers! Whenever I see Huddersfield I always think of the play of final 95. I reckon we probably haven’t played them many times since.

Also went around 2003, was about 15 and went on the supporters coac they'd just dropped into League Two and remember the ground being very different to the likes of Macclesfield and Torquay that I was used to visiting in those days! Think we went 2-0 down earlyish and expected a battering, ended up 2-1 with a lateish consolation.

Looking at those two teams on paper (espcially with Junior going off early), I'm not sure how we didn't get a hammering!

I remember one game back in the late 80s/early 90s at Huddersfield`s old Leeds Road ground. It belted down with rain, we got absolutely drenched, and we were 2-0 for most of the game, but pulled one back and then scored 2 really late goals to win 3-2. Pretty sure Dennis Bailey got the winner.
