If anyone finds out who to contact, please put it on the forum. I will happily bang on his door. Ritchie Bates, Commercial & Revenue Director, appears to be TG's replacement but i can't find any contact details for him, assuming he has a club email account it could well be ritchie.bates@bristolrovers.co.uk

Just checked the ticket website and the only stand tickets still available are in the corners of the new stands, which suggests there's more than enough demand to open at least the East Stand seating if not the terracing?

Just purchased 3 tickets standing on the west terrace. Dont mind the view from there, better than the Thatchers!
I was at the Weston game v Boreham Wood last weekend, there is a real excitement around the club at the moment, crowds are decent as is their form. This match is massive for them, possibly one of the biggest thus far in their history, so we should welcome them and our club should treat this tie with the respect it deserves.
As usual it feels like the powers that be are once again missing a trick here, their ability to treat supporters well and organise the event to maximise turn out is sadly lacking.
Really hope WSM get as many tickets as they could potentially sell, make a nice change to actually have a bloody atmosphere for once this season!!

It seems reality is sinking in.The South and East stand are both closed for this game so that means I for one will be unable to be there 'cause I can't stand for long periods. I hope the club is happy that they are letting down regular fans who have paid up front but still don't mind paying again. How much longer are we going to be taken for mugs? It’s all a sad state, the Season ticket pricing fiasco, the nonsense of games kicking off whenever to suit Sky, International breaks breaking up the Season for scheduled games, now this nonsense. I’m glad I’m watching local non league where they happily take cash, smile and enjoy fans. I’ve done two away games that’s it. The love is currently dead, although I was going to break my home duck for the Weston game, but I’m not going to a half closed ground, It will look awful on TV. Anyway Reading on Saturday.

Yes it’s a very poor state of affairs all round. Once again the powers that be (no longer know who that is, by the way) seem to have totally misjudged the situation and instead of a possible bumper crowd half the ground is shut and no hospitality (according to others , haven’t checked).
This is a chance for a decent atmosphere at a local derby tie that has been dismissed as a non event seemingly. Why?
A good opportunity to attract some new supporters once again seemingly ignored. Why is half the ground shut?
On a personal note :- no email about securing my own seat in the West Stand for the tie? For once it is open (it’s usually the one that’s shut in these cases) but I can’t be in my own seat as it was one of the first sold. I’ll be there with a much worse view but at least I got one of the few seats still available. Last night v Shrews with half an hour still to go to kick off the kiosk just inside the West turnstiles didn’t have any pasties. Luckily going round the back of the West Stand towards the South Stand the stall at the far end had some. We aren’t making money if we don’t have what the public want - I wasn’t the only one chasing a pasty. I did Director for a Day with 7 others for last season’s game v Shrews and it was very good (new boss apparently) but why isn’t there any re Weston when people may have fancied making a real day of it - especially maybe some Weston Fans?

Clare has sorted out a few ticket issues in the past and was always helpful, though that's going back a fair few years now. Will be gutted if the East Stand isn't open, always sit up there for the real cup games.

I doubt Claire can help with the discussion taken to close the East Stand, I'd imagine that was taken well above her pay grade?

Not saying the decision is right or wrong but in recent seasons we have frequently closed one of the main stands for the early rounds of the cup, it's not a new decision by the new owners. I'd imagine the ground will still hold over 8,000. Once a decision was made to close the East Stand the club clearly couldn't offer hospitality in that stand. I'm surprised stand season ticket holders were given any warning that they needed to buy tickets as soon, as they went on sale as it was going to be a free for all.

I got absolutely slated on my opinion of bringing Nick Higgs back in a one day a week consultancy role, but did such a shambles ever occur under his tenure. As a GASHEAD which those currently in charge aren't, surely he'd have seen the pulling power of this game.

New half and half scarves have been manufactured as we speak for our three up and coming cup ties
Bristol City 1982 v Rovers Gloucestershire Senior Cup
Rovers v Exeter City Bristol Street motors trophy
Rovers v Weston Super Mare Fa cup
Could Rovers exit the three cups surely not

It looks as though the ticket decisions made about the Weston Super Mare fixture need rethinking.
Very poor advance ticket sales for home supporters support the decision to only open some sections of The Mem.
Seated sections sales suggest that there is insufficient seating allocation available.
Extending HOME seating sales to a small section of the South Stand would be a shrewd decision.
Work is progressing to permit further segregation arrangements for The South Stand.
This should be expedited and the demand for HOME seating for the FA cup match can be achieved.

Wwll they should change the decision and move the ST holders from the stand back to their seats! The terrace may not be needed but a few hundred seats and the hospitality would be well used I reckon. Staff levels for that can't be excessive and I'm sure the students are happy for the cash.

Legitimate question, do we have a SC fans director anymore? I literally have no idea if we do or not (Even if the position is worthless)

I’m a season ticket holder in the East Stand and I have emailed the club showing my dismay over their closure of that stand. I won’t be going if the only seats left is the remote corner of the ground and my brother and I are in our 70’s certainly won’t be standing up.
