As it happens I think labour are In a good place on giving women more power. There are 148 women MP's and only 48 are conservatives. There will be lots more labour women on Friday morning. ANYWAY LABOUR ARE GIVING TAX BREAKS TO COMPANIES WHO PAY LIVING WAGE; TAX PAYER PAID 11 BILLION LAST YEAR TOPPING UP THE WAGES OF SUPERMARKET WORKERS. £8 AN HOUR SEEMS FAIR TO ME.

3. Labour will ban exploitative zero-hours contracts so that anyone working regular hours for more than 12 weeks can get a regular contract. David Cameron said he couldn't live on one. If he can't, then no one should have to. - Nothing wrong with the contracts. THE KEY IS THE EXPLOITATIVE ONES. LABOUR ARE NOT BANNING ALL. IF YOU WANT ONE YOU CAN HAVE ONE.

4. Labour won't give tax breaks to millionaires (the Tories did in 2013, and they're likely to do it again if they win). We'll cut tax for millions of people on low and middle incomes instead. - Um, why didn't Labour do this when in power for 13 years? How will Labour cut theses taxes for millions, while at the same time increasing the government spending? THEY DID! TAX RATE WAS 50% IN 2010. THE COALITION DURING THE HIEGHT OF THE ECONOMIC CRISIS DECREASED IT FOR MILLIONAIRES AND ANYONE EARNING OVER £150, 000 a year. IN IT TOGETHER THE TORIES SAID. HARDLY.

5. Labour will clamp down on tax avoidance and ban 'non-dom' status (which was created in 1799 and a lot has changed since then...). - Tax Avoidance is not illegal, in fact, it is totally legal. As for Non-Doms, who do pay UK tax on money they earn in the UK all you will do is lose money. Emotional policies without any financial justification. THE RICHEST AND WEALTHY SHOULD PAY MORE. THEY LIVE HERE LIKE YOU AND ME, GET ALL THE BENEFITS AND SHOULD PAY A LITTLE MORE. IT SEEMS FAIR TO OVER 67% WHO LIKE THE POLICY

6. Labour will cut the deficit every year and balance the books, sensibly and fairly, without the extreme spending cuts the Tories are planning to make. - They didn't do this in 13 years. How are the same people who helped crash the economy suddenly going to become financially dependable? LABOUR DIDNT CRASH THE WORLD WIDE ECONOMY. THE WORLD WIDE BANKS DID. CIVAL SERVICE HAS CONFIRMED THE CRISIS WAS CREATED BY BANKS NOT LABOUR. GEORGE OSBOURNE SAID HE WOULD MATCH LABOUR SPENDING PLANS AND AGREED WITH THE PLANS. IN 2010 THE GROWTH WAS 1% AND NOW ITS 0.3%. THE TORIES HAVE ALSO INCREASED OUR DEBT FROM 900BILLION TO 1.5 TRILLION. ECONOMIC COMPETENCE IS A LIE.

7. Labour will scrap the Bedroom Tax (from day one) that hits the disabled and most vulnerable in society. - It is not a tax. SOUNDS LIKE A TAX TO ME WHEN THE VULNERABLE HAVE TO PAY MORE WHEN THEY HAVE AN EXTRA BEDROOM.

8. Labour will extend free childcare from 15 to 25 hours a week for working parents of three- and four-year-olds. - Why didn't they do this when in power for 13 years? LABOUR SPENT MONEY ON SURESTART CENTRES. TORIES GOT RID OF OVER 200 OF THEM.

9. Labour will control immigration with fair rules and make it illegal for employers to undercut wages by exploiting workers. - They cannot control immigration, we all know this, so why bother claiming they will? IMMIGRATION FROM EUROPE CANT BE CONTROLLED. OVER 1MILLION UK WORKERS WORK IN EUROPE TODAY. YOU CAN CONTROL IMMIGRATION OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITY.

10. Labour are the party that will save the NHS. - Emotional politics yet again. Was Mid Staffs 'saving our NHS'? HAVE YOU BEEN TO AN NHS HOSPITAL OR SURGERY RECENTLY. ITS A NIGHTMARE. THE TORIES WILL GET RID OF IT IN NEXT FIVE YEARS OR CEATE A TWO TIER SYSTEM. IF YOU HAVE MONEY YOU WILL GET THE PRIVATE ROOM. 11. Labour founded the NHS in 1948, it is one of Labours proudest achievements, and they have saved it from crisis before. - Nonsense. NO. THE TORIES RESTRICTED HOSPITAL BUILDING AND NHS COSTS DURING THE LAST TIME THE TORIES WERE IN POWER. WE SAVED IT THEN AND WILL SAVE IT AGAIN. IN 1997, HOSPITALS WERE IN TATTERS AND MILLIONS NEEDED TO WAIT. THE TORIES THIS TIME HAVE INCREASED A&E WAITING TIMES, SHUT DOWN WALK IN CENTRES, GOT RID OF NHSDIRECT, LESS GP'S FOR THE POPULATION.

In five years of Tory-led government we've all seen rising waiting times, increasing privatisation and falling standards. - With the main issues being uncontrolled immigration, the GP contracts which pay GP's more money for doing less, and PFI deals which are bankrupting the NHS.........all Labour policies. THE TORIES WASTED 3 BILLION ON A TOP DOWN REORGANISATION; THE NHS CAN ONLY RUN WITH IMMIGRATION, MANY DOCTORS AND NURSES COME FROM COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE UK. PFI STARTED WITH JOHN MAJOR. Labour will train and recruit 20,000 more nurses and 8,000 more doctors by 2020, paid for by tackling tax avoidance, a levy on tobacco companies, and a tax on the most expensive properties worth over £2 million. Labour will guarantee a GP appointment within 48 hours - and on the same day for those who need it. - Total nonsense. Pray tell us all how you are going to train these people within 5 years? 17. Labour will cut tuition fees from £9,000 to £6,000 (which will help students and is also good for our economy). - Are these the tuition fees that Labour introduced? YES. THEY WERE INTRODUCED TO INCREASE HIGHER EDUCATION FUNDING. IT WAS £3000 IN 2010. THE TORUES HAD TO TREBLE THE TUITION FEES AS THEY CUT HIGHER EDUCATION BUDGET BY 80%. YOU CANT TRUST TORIES.

18. Labour will make sure that there is an apprenticeship for any school leaver that gets the grades. Labour will also improve technical education and careers advice in schools to help students prepare for jobs. If you chose not to go to university, your future should be as secure as if you do. - Please tell us all how a Labour government are going to create apprenticeships in the private sector? COMPANIES WHO BID FOR LARGE GOVERNMENT CONTRACT WILL NEED TO EMPLOY APPRENTICES. 32K APPRENTICES WILL COME FROM HS2 RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE. PEOPLE ARE BEING RIPPED BY PRIVATE LANDLORDS WHILE THEY LIVE IN PROPERTIES THAT NEED REPAIR. HOMELESSNESS HAS INCREASED BY A HUGE AMOUNT. CAPPING RENTS REDUCES HOUSING BENEFIT COSTS TO TAX PAYER. Not sure who you all will be voting for but all your questions and responses to my answers gives anyone reading this the opportunity to make their own judgement.

As always there is no policy or proposals from the right wing. It would be helpful if you could give our readers/fans some actual policies that we could debate. Far too many still don't know what they are getting with the tories apart from the cuts in the next two years will be more severe than the last five years. Must be why tories are still on 33% and struggling in the seats that matter. Happy Days!

The only party that talks for and about working people is LABOUR. The positive noises and policies come from Labour!

Could you give us all a list of policies that the conservatives will promise? Doubt it as it will expose how they focus on the few not the many. The well off should pay a little more to help everyone prosper. It's a choice.

Have you seen the Russell brand video. Gone done very well with young voters. All cameron has done today is put fear into the potential voters instead of offering hope and a positive message. Cameron is cutting welfare in next two years and so any who need government help will see the money cut. Will cameron ever tell us what he is going to do? He still hasn't said how he will find the 8billion for NHS he has promised. Benefits will be cut for the people who need them most, like my sister who has MS .

Reading all your responses will only help other Gasheads decide to vote LABOUR. It's the only option for the majority. If you believe in fairness vote LaBOUR!

I doubt any of us on this thread will change our minds. However My points are more compelling and hopeful for the ones who have not decided. We need to hear about the Tory policies or even worse the UKIP policies.

It's really very simple.

You cannot expect anyone to correct the mess left by the last Labour government in just five years. You moan about the Tories not cutting the deficit as planned, but that deficit was created by Labour. Labour trashed the economy, and to suggest otherwise is just wrong.
Your economic ignorance is something to hold in wonder. Labour didn't spend any money on schools or hospitals, despite the huge amounts they did spend. Those projects, along with many others including Defence stuff, was 'paid' by using PFI deals, which have been proven to be a disaster.

You want Tory policies? Well, they are there for you to see. Employment is at it's highest for God knows how long. The deficit is coming down, and so will the debt. Government spending is coming down, which it will do no matter who gets in power, yes, even Labour will be cutting the Welfare Bill, because they have to !
Labour will destroy what Pensions are left, raise every tax possible, plus invent a lot more taxes. Government spending will go up, so will unemployment.....and once again, the economy will crash. The only jobs that Labour can create will be in the Public Sector, which only increases Government spending.

and anyone who listens to russell brand need their heads examined!

hold up rich on several occasions in these threads i have posted replies to your posting of labour policies i pointed out now on several occasions that a lot of what labour are selling you is in fact a cleverly worded ploy ,which in reality translate too .We will continue to use the majority of tory policies as they seem to be working .
One thing i fotgot to add a comment too yesterday was the labour promise to lower the voting age to 16, WTF most 18 year olds are too young mentally to vote, but 16 year olds really, think back we were all 16 once, the boys will vote for the party with the biggest breasts, (sorry to put it in those terms but think about it. most kids at that age seem to be swayed by their teachers politically. but will most probably vote green or something.

Rich you also mention your sister, im in the same boat ie ill and on benefits, We and a lot of others survive on what we get ,but people also need to realise that benefit isnt a god given right, in the main your sisters need are taken care of i suspect, she will get dla or pip again this isnt free money but a benefit given to help buy equipment or pay for extra care etc, that benefit is also not taken into consideration for any other benefit entitlement ,whereas other benefits are. not trying to be rude but thank your ,lucky stars we live where we do , where i find your post confusing is where on the one hand you post the labour policies, but when challenged on these you just post more, I would rather have a goat like Red Ken as pm than the spoilt little richboy milliband ad least with ken you knew where he stood.

One other thing that really amazes me is the me me me ,mentality of labour supporters, if some one challenges any thing you say politically .you among others start calling them/us right wing. how right wing are labour in reality, they eroded more personal freedoms than any other party in the history of the uk, they only say they will promise work to youngsters who have exam passes, offer child care to one particular age group, i rather suspect this was to grab the young vote, at the cheapest possible price.
