I'm not getting involved in this. Politics threads on a football forum do not work. The closest of gasheads end up falling out.
Just interesting to observe though that almost everyone on this thread except of course Rich feels extremely anti-Labour.
Whatever views we all hold, I can't believe the responses are representative of our fanbase. Just of the ones who despise Labour.

Aghast have your say, no falling out in this thread, personally i never hold a persons political beliefs against em, dont give a toss who you vote for, i think it's been a damn good thread, will even speak to rich if i met him although if he mentions the bloody bus there will be a falling out  . Everyone alive has a story as to why they vote the way they do, and for me thats very interesting |

BTW, the Labour leadership campaign is really interesting...any of their supporters like to let us know if they'd like a Tory/centre-ground leader or a losing/Left-Wing leader next time?

I don't want a new labour style bend over and be buggered by the multinationals type leader/party but a left wing candidate would be, as you say, losing. I am not sure I would want a really left wing candidate anyway, but would like one that stands up to international capitalism a bit more. I think in general people like capitalism so so it aint going away but we should be working more to make it fairer for everyone not just a few rich bar stewards.

So basically you want a Conservative (central/right-wing) leader like Blair? I'd love to know how you want an actual ' Labour' candidate to "stand up to international capitalism a bit more" because I bet that means taxing them more and therefore they will leave to pay less tax in another country. |
