New keeper and two new wingers for me.
Assuming we keep the rest of the squad together (including Lines). i assume Clarke will make good use of the loan system again to strengthen where needed, especially if we pick up any injuries.
So I don't actually think we will see too many permanent signings. Two or three at most I reckon then a couple of loans to start with.

Not sure we need a keeper. Puddy has done pretty well and is particularly good at holding on to crosses into the box. If Mildenhall wants to stay in the area and is happy to take a pay cut he'd be a more than adequate #2. Defence is fine. Only decision there is whether we keep Trotman as cover or look elsewhere. Not sure we need a striker either. Taylor and Harrison look to be developing a good partnership and we'll hopefully have a fully fit Easter next season as well. Not convinced about Blissett but he's under contract and does at least give us a different option. However, if we could get Blissett out on loan I'd like to think we could sign a better target man. I'd keep Monkhouse on the left. I think he's undervalued and links up well with Brown. We need to sign Lines and a right winger. So: GK - If Puddy or Mildenhall leave CB - If Trotman leaves CM - Lines RW - New Winger (Dawson or Della Verde?) ST - If Blissett goes out on loan Obviously if other fringe players leave (Gosling, Balanta, Ollie Clarke etc) or we lose any of our better players, they will also need replacing. Is this bants?! No not at all. I know he dropped a clanger at Dover but so many keepers flap at crosses or just try to punch them clear these days, I like the way he almost always tries and normally succeeds in catching crosses. However, if we can find somebody better I wouldn't be against seeing a new keeper brought in.

Defence is mainly okay, apart from back-up. It wasn't the defence that let us down last time in League 2. GK prefer slightly better than what we've got. Centre mid - okay with Lines if he signs Winger - needed Strikers - give the ones we've got a chance

Difficult, would probably keep all, would deffo keep puddy ,he should be a blinder with a bit more confidence, Ellis i would send on a stress training, course as think how good he could be,if he kept his head for 90mins. i wrote ellis off at the start of his antics, but got a lot of time fer the,kid as changing your attitude in life isn't an easy thing to do, if i had to get rid i would probably let go the one with not a lot of game time

The goalkeeping situation is going to be interesting. I don't think Clarke has absolute faith in Mildy anymore given his howlers in the Conference and I think Sunday underlined that Puddy is probably not a good enough first choice goalkeeper for a team looking upwards in League Two. Personally I like both and think that either one of them would be a very good deputy, but I'm not sure whether Mildy would want to be a reserve keeper at his age (and we probably couldn't justify it given the money he is on), although I imagine Puddy would (and he is significantly cheaper). If this is the case, I think DC will be looking to sign a new first choice goalkeeper.
Defensively I think we are pretty much sorted barring anyone being let go or unexpectedly sold. I can see Trotman being released given his injury record so he would need to be replaced, although I think he would be a good player to keep if he was fully fit and over his problems.
Lines signing is a must if we possibly can and I would definitely retain Sinclair. I don't rate Ollie Clarke and would be inclined to let him go, but DC may choose to keep him with the 7 on the bench in mind as a cheap option. I would also keep Gosling and Monkhouse but I do think we need at least one winger of quality to come in as we do lack pace and flair out wide.
Up front we have a good mix of forwards and I think they could do a good job at this level, as they will be full of confidence and eager to grasp the opportunity. Personally, however, I would like to see a proven FL goalscorer come in because besides Easter, our other forwards have not proven themselves in the League before. That's not to say they can't/won't, but it may be a risk not to add at least one striker who has done it all before.

Is it wrong that I want Puddy to stay (if not as a starter) not so much due to his ability but because I love the "I wanna dance with Will Puddy" song?

I have a funny feeling that Mildenhall could yet surprise a few and reclaim his number 1 jersey. He's vastly experienced and a good character, he was very solid for us in his first year and a bit and he is by no means too old for a goalkeeper if he can regain his best form.

Been told by an Oxford fan at work that the word is Ryan Clarke is coming back after being told he is not their number one choice for next year Supposedly Ryan Clarke played for Salisbury 2006–2009 - DC was there 2007 onwards. So wouldn't surprise me at all tbh.

Right winger is a priority for me. We looked most balanced this season with Monkhouse on the left and an old fashioned winger on the right (Dawson/Della Verde). Monkhouse works so well with Brown so I would definitely keep that going, lost count on how many assists came from the two of them.
With a more direct winger on the right in the Muzzy mold I think that would really make our midfield a force to be reckoned with. I like Leadbitter and think that he could potentially do a job out there, if not then at right back with Lockyer moving inside to his natural central position.
It will be interesting to see who gets the nod alongside Lines (if he signs) as both Mansell and Sinclair would want that place in the team and either I think could do a job in League 2.

Can't wait for next season reading this thread. I honestly think we've got a chance of back to back promotions. Having 3 automatic promotion places to aim for is a breathe of fresh air after having " how are Barnet getting on ?"ringing in my ears all season.

I feel like our experience in the division below is invaluable to us now. In fact I'm feeling strangely arrogant about it. A kind of, 'Yeah well you don't know what it's like down there' attitude to all the others in our league. People fall, and return 5+ years later. Well we did it in one sodding year. Now let's use our experience and fight for that top spot - even though we could finish 2nd or 3rd and STILL get automatic.

Smith deserve dthe chance to go to a higher level and I would always welcome him back as nobody could question that he gave everything to the cause. I would almost go as far to say that if he hadn't got injured at Portsmouth we would have stayed up. Lee Brown missing the last game left us with no full backs and pretty well having to play three at the back.

I would be looking at Toto Nsiala at Grimsby, out of contract and I thought he played brilliantly against us at Wembley. If I remember correctly he made quite a few fantastic tackles including one on blisset to stop him going through on goal late in the game.

Weird how opinions differ, I thought he was dodgy as anything - nearly sliced one in his own net at one point. The only Grimsby players I'd look at would be McKeown the keeper if one of Mildy/Puddy goes, as he's been consistently good for a while now, or Pearson the centre-back to provide competition with Macca and Parkes.
