If i thought one of my mates did i would have blowtorched the spider before giving it back and then blowtorched his hair to teach him better manners

It looks very frightened Ras. Suggest tickle its tummy and sing the following Finnish nursery rhyme: Hämä-hämä häkki1. Hämä-hämähäkki kiipes langalle. Tuli sade rankka, hämähäkin vei. Aurinko armas kuivas satehen, hämä-hämähäkki kiipes uudelleen. 2. Muura-muurahainen kortta kuljettaa, ahkerasti työssään aina ahertaa. Valmis on kohta keko komea, muura-muurahainen kortta kuljettaa. 3. Heinä-heinäsirkka soittaa viuluaan, heinikossa hyppii sinne tänne vaan. Pieni sinikello käypi nukkumaan, heinä-heinäsirkka soitta viuluaan. 4. Sääski-sääski pieni surraa parvessaan, suvipäivä kuluu siinä touhussaan. Illanvarjot saapuu, siivet kimaltaa, sääski-sääski pieni surraa parvessaan. 5. Hämä-hämähäkki kutoo verkkojaan, pieni lintu lensi siihen katsomaan. Aurinko laski kauas vuorten taa, hämä-hämähäkki kutoo verkkojaan. NB: The English equivalent is Incy Wincy Spider

Wow, seriously that's one hell of a spider! I hate them. My wife was bitten by one of those false/widows and nearly lost the end of her finger. It looks as if that one could take your arm off! I nearly had a red legged tarantula run over my hand at Gatwick once when searching a courier bag. I ran backwards off a flatbed lorry. We dropped two telephone directories on it to make sure. Looks like that one headed the encyclopaedia Britannica dropped on it.
It was me I would moved house and let the bugger have it.

Looks like an adult tarantula, possibly fully grown... To be honest tarantula bites aren't that painful, at least mine weren't and they're not dangerous unless you're unlucky, the worst they'll do is flick the tiny hairs on their hind at you, now that's a painful thing to go through, but that's worst case scenario. Feed it a medium locust and it'll love you :-)

Did this actually happen? I think Ras was trying to create a metaphor representing the parlous state of our football club. The arachnid represents in a very real way the threat to the existence of the family. The terrified homeowner cowering in a corner can be seen as the supporter who is overwhelmed by events beyond his control. The thread is in fact a cry for help, much as Brisa and the Wellingtonians are now attempting to do. Indeed, on a spiritual level, we can all see this thread as an attempt by the underdog to break free from the shackles of oppression. And then to seek support and solace in the company of like-minded spirits. Or - he actually had a feckin great spider in his living room.

I cant believe you're suggesting that ras was: "trying to create a metaphor representing the parlous state of our football club"
ras wouldn't even know what 9 of the words in that sentence means, I bet he's got his laptop, his dictionary, his copy of 40+milfs, and his cock out right now....

It must have been a shock having such a horrible freak of nature invade your personal space...and I expect Ras felt the same way.

You will find, I am kind. Took my son for his swimming lesson yesterday. When he was having his shower after out of the corner of my eye I noticed this. I can only hope that many kids were scared yesterday, before the thing was eventually flushed away. It's a small Huntsman by the way.

Actually Wiki says they are Pussies. Wiki is correct. They're not poisonous at all. We have loads of them in the garden. I just thought it was funny seeing there in the toilet. Some ignorant idiot would have probably flushed it away. That's only a small one.
