Make no bones about it. We are in huge trouble. We have no plan B as our squad is so small. 5 defeats out of 6 at home. Virtually no effort whatsoever. Portsmouth were sh**e. They had two chances and took them both. not according to the stats? I'm not there but sky and bbc both say they dominated

Portsmouth only looked ok when we stood off. Defend from the front is a very old saying. Well Harrison and Easter did f**k all of that.

Haha! Lose a few. Here we go! Remember a few weeks ago? Someone started a thread about how we can go up recently! Jesus. I would take 22nd right now. We signed nobody which makes me think that Clarke's hands are tied. We have no squad depth. We have no creativity. I'm usually a pretty patient Gashead but this has all the hallmarks of two seasons back and I'm sh** scared of another trip to the Conference as we won't be back anytime soon.

I'm not really doom and gloom but we don't currently have a single forward that excites me. We haven't really looked like we have a goal in us. It's starting to look like relegation year when you know once we concede we've had it. Still early days and we can turn it around.

I thought they were a much better team than us personally. Better movement, better ball retention and better in front of goal.
We look a few players short and based on last 5 games I think top half may be as much as we could hope for, certainly more than recent form suggests we are capable of.
We also appear to lack positional discipline at times which also leaves us exposed when we lose the ball.
My concern is has DC got any finances to bring players in?

Despite our problems we have won/draw away to Plymouth Luton (dominated) Yeovil (dominated). Organisation and effort alone is enough to stop you being near the bottom of this league. DC is right when he says for our fans its a disaster when we lose and we're going to win the league when we win.

Front two need a rocket FOR NOT KEEPING UP A 100% pressing game & too often Lines and Sinclair too deep. Elementary errors in passing from the back, including new keeper and too many balls into touch - have the lads been watching too much RWC? Basics are there when wing back approach is taken and the ball is fizzed in low.

Anyone who thinks Portsmouth were ***** has their head up their arse. Yeah, I thought they were a genuinely decent team, and we comfortably outplayed them for a good thirty minutes, so really, nothing to panic about.

Yeah, I thought they were a genuinely decent team, and we comfortably outplayed them for a good thirty minutes, so really, nothing to panic about. Exactly I know our previous games have been dubious. I know excuses can be made. We've lost to the likely league winners and big spenders by the odd goal at home, no big deal. Northampton were the nightmare opponents for the first game back, we comfortably beat Barnet, started very well against Oxford until the ref ruined it. Accrington was crap, admittedly. Teams getting relegated don't go away to Luton and dominate the game, match Plymouth away. Ask Newport, Dagenham and York how they've done in those games People love an overreaction, must be stressful. And as far as the big spenders go, you can class Orient, Plymouth, Oxford, Portsmouth and Luton in the category. Wait until we are half way through the seasons and have played the Newports and Yorks before predicting relegation. Some people should remember we aren't the big spenders anymore, far from it. And you know who we have to thank for that (and we are still losing money).

We'll stay up because there's 7-8 teams in this league poorer than us. The last run of games has been difficult and with a trip to Hartlepool things are looking difficult. I honestly just think we need a win and then we can start building on that!

That's judging on the here and now. We are toothless.

I honestly just think we need a win and then we can start building on that! Would finishing 14th or whatever be that bad this year? And build on it next? I think there is more to come from this team. Same was said last year, DC identified the problem and nearly the same 11 were free scoring by the end of it. A bit of faith and optimism does no one any harm. Last year we had some serious presssure, a real reason to worry. This year, no. Enjoy it, we could of been playing Boreham Wood.

That's what I mean, at the moment we look underconfident, I think a decent run of games will get us going.

Losing five games at home before the end of September is relegation form. Portsmouth were far better than ourselves and deserved all three points today. We have no creativity, do not look like scoring a goal and still some on here think every thing is OK. No its not. DC was stupid saying he will leave BRFC when we are mid table in the first division. He needs to buck up his ideas or he will be gone sooner rather than later. UTG

Part of the reason we are so toothless is because most of our players are too frightened or lack the confidence to shoot. I counted 5 or 6 times today we got ourselves in good shooting positions but we always bottle the situation and pass it wide.
