Yes there is repetition. But if I present my views on Gasheads I seem to get pilloried while on Gastalk the atmosphere is far more accommodating. At the first I would have supported amalgamation but I now see the as two forums as quite different entities. Gasheads seem to have a few people that have "a big chip on their shoulder" that are quite damming of anybody that holds a contrary view. Perhaps I am too sensitive. Many of them are quite balanced - with a great big chip on each shoulder. I like it here, I don't like it there (but still go there regularly!!!)

They were rather different to begin with and then the IF changed to the same format as this one. It was old, clunky, no mobile version etc. Then a few weeks after we started they changed to the same setup and now they are practically identical although the IF is much bigger and has the independent supporters club too. Its better in almost every way except one. We, have Hugo the elder. Ras, what are the relevant stats in terms of membership and number of posts? Do you know?

I only notice the colour scheme i think its got loads more members but a lot probably are here too.

Numbers are not important. What's more important is the number of legendary threads generated...

Got to say I am a bit bored of The Sainburys will they, wont they that keeps going on the IF at the moment.
I am as critical of the board as the next (I did a bit of heckling at the Q and A and all) and very much will believe it when I see it regarding UWE, however, it could not have been made clearer that Saisnburys cannot pull out of buying The Mem. On this, I/We have to trust them I think, because they were that adamant and they will be setting themselves up for a big fall otherwise.
Of course if anything can go wrong, it will happen to BRFC for sure

The world is full of all kinds of smells mate. Have no option but to take their word for it and to be fair Id say they were pretty clear on this matter above all else.

Oh also, being the smaller forum we don't have to deal with sheeds. Yes!

And one final thing. They don't have our tagline.
GasChat - the Bristol Rovers scented rectum of the interwebs.

Its all Part of their Hidden Agenda against the club

I am aware of agendas that would support the club and the desire to improve. No the real reason all this stuff goes on and on is that the BoD are not transparent, otherwise they could, and should, have killed this story

Les, I agree they could have killed it. I am not sure how hard it would have been to make it abundantly clear Sainsbury’s cannot pull out of buying The Mem now all relevant PPs have been granted. I am sure there would have been doubts still but they could have been far clearer, sooner as has been the case for so long at Rovers
I still have questions on how the stadium is going to be fitted out and how it is supposed to spew out money and where these profits are going to go, especially if the BoD are going to have to cover any shortfall.
But, plenty of sceptics wen to the Q and A and we are passing the message on about Sainsburys and how the club have made the position clear and strongly. Yes it is our BoD and yes it’s hard to believe them at times, but some don’t want to accept that it has been made that clear (or so it seems) and on this I believe we have to accept their word. If we are going to question them on UWE, as I say the questions should be on the after it’s built and the ROI and re-investment into the club
