Just me, or did those 2 he stuck away yesterday have a hint of Richard Walker about them?

Great goals but he has a little to do on his post match interview technique! Didn't exactly help the interviewer out much. Seems pretty keen to stay though. Looks like he's made a real difference working with Taylor and Easter.
Hopefully he's just a square peg in a round hole at Cambridge and we can get him in. Be surprising if they let him go to a rival though to be honest.

Seems pretty keen to stay though. www.cambridge-news.co.uk/Cambridge-United-forward-Rory-Gaffney-brink/story-28436960-detail/story.html?Cambridge United striker Rory Gaffney looks set for an extended spell at Bristol Rovers. The Irish marksman has scored three times in six games since joining the Pirates on a temporary deal last month. Rovers are keen to keep hold of Gaffney, whose loan contract comes to an end following their home clash with Luton on Saturday. And United chief executive Jez George said talks were ongoing with their Sky Bet League Two rivals over the future of Gaffney, who netted twice in six matches following his belated debut in September, nine months after moving from League of Ireland outfit Limerick. But Gaffney's only appearance under Shaun Derry came in the new United manager's first game in charge, last month's 1-0 defeat at Oxford. George said: "We're in discussions with them over whether it will be a loan deal or a permanent deal. We're just looking at what suits the best. "It's the time of year where for us to add players, there needs to be some outs for some ins. "I think for us it's about coming out of January stronger than when we go in. "If we have players who aren't in the manager's plans and somebody else wants them, we have to try to find a way of making that deal suit us so we can get players in who will be in the manager's plans. "Everything is up in the air going into January, but we want to sign the players Shaun wants to take us forward." George added United were also discussing the futures of on-loan players such as Ben Williamson, Ryan Ledson, Cameron Gayle, Mickey Demetriou and Terry Kennedy with their parent clubs with their temporary contracts set to run out next mnth.

Agreed, it's strange they are just happy to let him leave to another promotion rival, although I assume they've got to raise the money somehow if they want to keep some of those 5(!) loanees.
So much for yesterday's doom merchants who were suggesting we had no chance of signing Gaffney

So much for yesterday's doom merchants who were suggesting we had no chance of signing Gaffney It seems to me that Gaffney compliments our squad better than theirs. They have Barry Corr up front who is another good target man. Before Gaffney, we didn't really have anyone capable of playing that role. It could be that them offloading him to us and spending the wages on a position they need more could help improve both teams. Can I also just thank the fans for the excellent turn out against Leyton Orient, I can imagine if he was in any doubt then that would have gone a long way to persuading him.

Showed my girlfriend the highlights last night, she was in stitches for Rory's first goal. Gotta say it did force me to raise my rose-tinted's slightly, watched it five times and those defenders are comical! To be fair to Rory tho, he did say the ball got stuck between his feet and his composure shone through in the end with the last dummy onto his right foot. Hope we hold onto him!!

That article does sound very promising. Will a loan extension mean he is available for the play offs?

Seems pretty keen to stay though. ... after moving from League of Ireland outfit Limerick. There was a young player called Gaffney Who could score with his left/right or ass/knee He came on the ferry And said to Shaun Derry I'd rather play for the Gas, please.

Cash + blisset to Cambridge? We get a decent striker and they keep their squad depth We shouldn't be paying any cash for him. It's clear Cambridge don't want him and would like to free up his wage. Should be a free transfer. Plus, who in their right mind will take blisset. He's failed at every club we've loaned him to in the conference.

Cambridge may not want him but after spending £200,000 on him they ain't gonna let him go for nothing. As regards a loan what is the point from our side as he will only be able to stay for 2 months and if we are serious about promotion he will be gone at a vital time.

He sounded a very intelligent guy on his interview (he does have a degree in Accountancy as well).
