Hhmmm is it a case of Fallon in and Taylor out.........? Completely different types of strikers. We always needed 4 strikers.

Decent signing. Who do the underwhelmed posters expect us to sign? How can a player who's hardly played any football since 2013 be a "decent" signing, seems a cheapskate signing to me where DC just hopes he's still good enough. Lets just hope we see more of him than we have of Lawrence so far so.

Tbh I think this is just cover for while Ellis is away from us, and at the same time he will give us a different option if needed.

Lets just hope we see more of him than we have of Lawrence so far so. I'm basing it on him having a long professional career with all of his games, bar 6 in League 2, being played at either Championship, League 1 or SPL level. Also the fact that he has basically had a month's trial with us shows us that DC knows what he's about and obviously thinks he can do a job.

Cheap, experienced, 6ft 3 gives us another option other than geffney as a target, his goal records not fantastic but always played a higher standard than lge 2, i think its a top signing for the final push

If DC has been monitoring him closely for 4 weeks in training that's good enough for me.

As DC says, he is an old fashioned centre forward. We all know option B is a change from 3-5-2 to 4-4-2 or vice versa. Well here comes option C, big centre forward who can win the ball in the box and score/knock down for the others.
The Gaffer knows what he wants and that is good enough for me

Goals direct from corners might be nice.

Loved him at Plymouth (when I used to live there and watch them in the Championship) always a threat in the air and works his bollocks off too! Not amazing with the ball at his feet (not like Gaffney) but you can't have it all I guess

I never really understand what 'non-contract' means? Does he get payed when he plays or not at all? Pay as you play. Presumably could leave without notice if someone comes in for him. Similar to how Bodin joined us. They asked him in the interview if he's 'pay as you play' and he said no, he's on a wage like everyone else basically, non-contract just means it can be ended anytime

Not amazing with the ball at his feet (not like Gaffney) but you can't have it all I guess As back up to Gaffney he sounds just what we need, assuming he's reasonably match fit, it's interesting DC added Easter & Lines late last season, now added two similarly experienced to see us home once again.

Welcome Rory and good luck.UTG The obsessed Ted 82ers seem to be o have overlooked a very important fact as they no doubt fondle themselves with ecstasy over their various rushed, last-gasp, last-ditch signings of Championship and Prem players. The only reason they've got those players is because of Saint Sir Steves money, the Google man who dodges tax fro the IOG. Without that money they probably wouldn't even exist, let alone be in the Championship. At the very least they would be subject to a transfer an, given their horrendous history of financial mis-management. DC has once again cut his cloth. I believe he is doing all he can to reach the play-offs without bankrupting the club, and stands as a proud lesson to all the other tosser managers we have had to endure over the last decade or so.
