Excuse my ignorance is AfD the National Front or is it BNP? Tsk....AfD is the German equivalent of UKIP. They started out about four years ago as a single-issue party, and that was to get Germany out of the EU. They have evolved a bit since then. In one State election last week they polled over 20% of the vote ! The media portray AfD as 'extreme right-wing', but the reality is that they are not.

Why would Germany want out of Europe? They run it and make a mint out of being in it!

Cameron went to the EU demanding half a loaf he then begged for a crust and has come home with some crumbs. His performance in the summits have been beyond pathetic, without a treaty the EU can ignore the tiny concessions Cameron has been given. Leaving the EU will be the end of the EU as the whole lot will crumble without the UKs huge financial input. Anything to say about Bristol Rovers Football Club? Go for it jaggas, tell him were signing gluten free, knee knack and the big cheese.

It's interesting how much scare mongering is going on in terms of the impending doom if we leave. Seems a much more negative spin coming from the remain campaign.
It's making me much more inclined to vote to leave.

My heart says it's a great opportunity to distance ourselves from EU politicians who clearly don't know what they are, and the current refugee crisis is a good example. Some argue that we are safer within, but the recent 'chocolate fireguard' borders in Greece and Italy prove this not to be true. Also, the two world wars were started in continental Europe by royal families and political parties all squabbling and nobbling each other. I don't trust these continental politicians to do the best for Europe. Finances - we (the voters & tax payers)don't know where the billions of euros, which have poured into Brussels over the years, have been spent. Are Bulgaria and Romania benefiting from better education, health and reduced crime ? Has Spain fixed the horrendous unemployment in their young ? Is much more due tax being collected in all EU countries, because EU money has been invested in anti-corruption and better infrastructure and cultural attitude etc ? We don't know, do we ? In short, I would love to stick two fingers up to the EU as I think we could be a strong nation in the world, and I don't believe in (nor do I want) a Federal Europe. HOWEVER, the holy grail for today and tomorrow is employment. There's no point in coming out if we are going to have a really serious financial crisis and huge unemployment. But the difficulty is knowing whether we will be in the muck by coming out, or not. As yet this hasn't been proved. So, what to do ?? From other thread.

The same people shouting to stay in the EU are the very same people who foretold doom & gloom if we didn't adopt the Euro. We now know, that staying out of the Euro saved the UK from a Greek style collapse.

Can you ban a forum member for ignoring another forum member? Nah, we've all been ignoring Nobby since day 1. Mainly when he says he doesn't eat sausage for tea every day.
