Didn't sleep. Bad accident yesterday, cut my face open, from forehead to top lip, really bad, lost a shed load of blood. Not good. Black eye coming up a treat. Thankfully all cleaned up ok but I look a right state. Christ! How did you do that? Bent down to scratch the cat in the porch, one hand in pocket, stood up, lost balance, couldn't get hands out fast enough, head first into a stone wall. Managed to get inside and shout help but I was covered in blood, couldn't see with blood pouring into my eyes. Nearly passed out. All cleaned up thankfully but feeling very sorry for myself. And sore. And bruised.

About 3 years ago my brother was walking up some wet steps in a village in Cornwall. He slipped, fell face-first onto the angle of the steps then his head slid down two steps. He literally scalped himself on one side of his head from his hairline to the top of his head. The amount of blood was unbelievable and it looked like he'd lost about 3 pints of the stuff. In fact it wasn't quite as bad as it looked. At the A&E they did a great job of sticking down and stitching this great flap of skin on his head. Three years later and apart from a very thin faint scar, you'd never know it had happened.
So there's hope for you yet baggins.
Get well soon.

Am I the only one to see this as an improvement?

Saw baggins earlier and you will all be glad to know he is on the mend. Luckily his looks are unaffected by his recent inability to pull out of his cat in time to stand up straight.

I was a looker back then. You've had a face only a Mother could love........well, you did before you were scarred for life.

Cameron went to the EU demanding half a loaf he then begged for a crust and has come home with some crumbs. His performance in the summits have been beyond pathetic, without a treaty the EU can ignore the tiny concessions Cameron has been given. Leaving the EU will be the end of the EU as the whole lot will crumble without the UKs huge financial input. Anything to say about Bristol Rovers Football Club?

We had some local elections last Sunday. The results should be known any day now, but it looks as though Afd will get around 15% of the vote. That is way up on the predicted 5%. Whether it is local, state or national elections, you need a minimum of 5% to get seats. If AfD do get 15% then that would be quite remarkable, especially if you see the voting process. Oh, and for anyone who advocates PR as a form of electing people, they should really have a look at the voting process here. I'll have to start a thread on it, it's very complicated and weighed heavily towards the ruling party. Still seems a fairer system to me. Get 20% of the vote, and get 20% of the seats. Every vote`s a winner, baby, that`s no lie. I assume you've seen the impact made by AfD ?
