I think the 6000 mentioned is a very optimistic 'guess'. The club released a statement a couple of weeks ago, stating 4300 ish, including seats. They will no doubt issue another one soon, but with the rate they've apparently been selling, I would doubt the figure is much more than 4700 or thereabouts. Happy to be proved wrong though. this is how i feel. All too confusing. If the 4300 figure INCLUDING seats was right then can't see how many more existing seat holders will suddenly swell the numbers. Surely most people who had a ST seat, & are now faced with a price freeze & increased demand for seats would have had a no-brainer moment and renewed pretty quickly. Seemingly they are happy to wait until nearer to the strart of the new season, or they don't intend renewing for some reason, regardless if the club are suggesting they only expect limited availability of seats you have to assume they'll all will eventually be sold by August for the West & East stands?

Season ticket holders in the east and west seats had until Tuesday 31st may to renew their st to keep their seat. After that it's a free for all. So anyone who has not already renewed their seat st may not get either the seat they had previously or a seat at all for next season.
There are 2878 seats at the mem. Some of those may be in the boxes ,some are for away fans and some have to remain unsold as segregation area.

How's that odd? 700 is probably about right considering we only sold 3.5k last year, with a bit of luck we might be able to sell 1k stand seats but at the mem I would doubt that we would be able to sell much more.

Something is still a miss with the figures, as surely we've already sold more than 600ish seats out of 2,800 (particularly as any left are said to be limited in numbers) if we've sold 4,000 terrace tickets out of around 8,000?

Why aren't stand seats available to purchase on the ticket site? I think maybe they are a bit behind with the figures. Still sold 300 in last week and the whole of June still to go at these prices.

Perhaps west and east stand seats count as terrace tickets and the 700 seats are for the tent? Only reasonable thing I can think of, I'm not too bothered about it, the club will reveal the full figure soon. Hopefully it will be possible to get a seat on match days for gasheads who don't go to enough games to warrant buying a season ticket but want to sit down

1160 seats in the dribuild, around 100 kept back for hospitality packages, 500 in West, so if (excluding south stand) there are no seats available on matchdays we've sold at least 1500 seats which puts the terrace figure completely at odds with the one the supporter's club have quoted.

An example with made up figures.......... Last season the east stand sold 750 season tickets and had 410 places available match day. This summer the 750 are held in reserve for those wishing to renew whilst the 410 are made available for new season ticket holders. Some renewals take place early and 340 of the 410 are sold as new season tickets. With only 70 places now available if all of the 750 renew their season tickets the supporters club can announce that it's likely no seats will be available on match days. Even though technically there are maybe 800 tickets as yet unbought. Make sense ?....

Surely most s/t holders with seats will have bought them at the discounted prices?

Either the supporter's club figures are wrong or half the existing seat season ticket holders haven't renewed.

The author of the article that states that 6,000 STs have been sold has a long history of being right about things before official confirmation comes from the club. In any case, the supporters club website reported that 3,871 terrace season tickets had been sold by 4pm on 30 July. If you add on the East and West Stands, which are bound to sell out you're already at over 5,000. If you add tickets sold since the SC article and the South Stand, then 6,000 sounds about right. www.bristolrovers.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=448566The author also also said we were being taken over by a Birmingham based consortium... He just reads stories form here, then posts them on Vital. No they never, they said we weren't being taken over by a Birmingham based consortium so they were right. ital Gas understands that a Consortium has made an approach to take over Bristol Rovers Football Club with a promise to invest at least 40 million into building a new Stadium at the UWE and further investment into the team.. It is thought that current Owner and Chairman, Nick Higgs has rejected this advance as it stands as the offer does not allow for repayment of losses that he incurred during his ownership.. The Consortium is thought to be Birmingham based but currently the identities of the individuals involved are unknown.
