A cracking effort for a stadium which isn't really fit for purpose. Doesn't look like prices are going up now either so this should tick up to around 5500 by the start of the season.

I have been following the Gas since the late 1960's. I always tried to get to as many home matches as possible and maybe a couple of away games per season.
I started taking my boy when he was 7, that was the season when Ward kept us up. We went fairly often in the relegation season even though the football was dire, and my boy caught the bug and became a diehard fan.
After relegation I decided the club needed its fans to stay loyal more than at any other time, so we went to every home game and quite a few away. We went to Gateshead that freezing February and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Towards the end of the season I bit the bullet and bought us each a season ticket for our league return. I did this because I was convinced we would go up, and I realised we had a very special manager who we neede to keep because he is the most capable man we've had in all my years of following Rovers, and I mean the very best, because what he has achieved has, I think, surpassed even Gerry's reign, because he's done it against a backdrop of chaos in the way the club was being run by the previous board.
I have renewed for the coming season. I don't think we'll get another promotion, but hope we can consolidate and make a push the following year. I agree with the way the owners want to develop the club, and desperately want the new stadium and training facilities to allow the club to grow.
It seems that another 5000 or so people share my optimism.
Up The Gas!!!!!

Actually it is very near that figure already, as the executive boxes are not included in this figure. Clair confirmed this yesterday. She also said that the new 'South West Stand' will be for those who pay on the day to sit. It will hold about 350.

Great chance of hitting 6k inc boxes then.

Nah,if we made a few more good signings it might Same team as last season but playing better teams every week,I fear if we don't strenghten in midfield we will struggle Geof twentymen thinks the same a friend was speaking to him at the races

Defo need to add steel to the midfield and a first choice keeper is also required.
In my humble opinion.

Until we see what we are up against in Div 1 it's impossible to know if CL/LM/SS/LL have what it takes or not,

You have a point. I have seen Danny Greenslade play a couple of times and while he has undoubted potential, he's still not ready for league football, in my view.
I would like to see a more established player brought in as cover, with Danny loaned to a good Conference team to get some game time and experience.
You can coach and train all day long, but the occasional reserve and development squad game is nowhere near as valuable.
