Plus if 8,000 turn up each game is there little incentive on the club's owners to improve the league position/sell up so perhaps the stay away fans actually did the regular fans a favour?? i thought you had disappeared, I'm still waiting for a reply from your petty little dig last night! Stop giving it the big un' you got chopsy yesterday and then decided to ignore my replies, I'm coming to the conclusion that you are a bit of a twat ! I thought you were only joking yesterday. I didn't think anything disparaging was meant by Topper yesterday.

Perhaps I'm being harsh , but I get the impression that topper likes to have a little sarcastic dig every now and then and when challenged doesn't have the balls to back it up, take yesterday as an example he makes a comment which i was unsure how to take , I ask topper about said comment and surprise surprise no reply !

I apologise for the fact that the quality of the football influences how many times a season I am willing to make the 450 mile round trip to watch home games. If my decision to buy my first ever season ticket makes me a glory hunter and wateres you off, well, sorry about that too. In truth, we all have stuff that gets in the way of going to matches: money, distance, work, family...very few of us get to every game and when we are weighing up whether to go or not, the quality of the football will play a part. The alternative is that our attendances stay the same forever. [br No need to apologise you just don't agree with my comment fair enough. I actually agree with you a bit about people who don't go for years, then turn up and moan. The point I was trying to make was that a lot of the increase is people choosing to go to more often than normal because the football is better. If Rovers had had a useless season last year, I would have probably stuck to seeing a few home games and the away games in the south-east. Because I am really enjoying watching Rovers, I took the plunge and bought a season ticket, before we knew how the season would end. The 8000 who turn up on a sunny Saturday don't all go to Hartlepool on a cold Tuesday night. That doesn't make the 7800 who don't go to Hartlepool bad supporters. If I'm honest, the most depressing Rovers game I ever attended in over 50 years was the away defeat at Braintree, where you might have expected to find only the most wonderful and loyal Rovers fans in attendance. Yes, a dismal performance but the abuse of the officials and the players of both sides by a few Rovers fans was disgusting.

5000 is respectable given the mems state.
Apart from the larger clubs in League one I dont think many will top 5000.People could argue that We should be selling more given our last two seasons, but the lack of facilitys and cover is not going to be that appealing compared to a nice cover side in a brand new arena.
I've been to many a game where there's been 8,9 or 10,000 at the Mem and it's been peeing down and you have someone who is taller than you in front of you and it's horrendous.I think we will average higher this season than we did last season regardless of season ticket sales.

Anything over 5000 is decent, matchday prices should be announced soon, with almost certainly an increase, should boost sales a bit more. Do they go up end of June?

I can assure you there are a lot of idiots who go to almost all the away games, I know them personally.

Attachment DeletedYep,Braintree away and Altrincham were dreadful and Bristol Samaritans took on extra staff!!! Who would have believed then that we'd achieve back to back promotions.Think Altrincham was Ryan Brunt's last game for us.
