I got mine on the last of the early bird deal and if I recall correctly 4200 had been sold at that point which I thought was incredible.
Anyone know or speculate as to how many ST sales we have. Our family/rovers gang have bought +3 more this year, 2 who have never had ST and 1 junior now needs one as over 11.
They've lost money on me as I usually go every game but have done pay on day a lot. I used to reason I miss a few games due to work and family commitments. Now, I miss a lot of work and family commitments :-)

The official figures from a week ago stated 4350, but the figures from the online ticket site suggest around 4000 terrace sales, you cannot buy a stand season ticket on there. Have no idea how many seats we've sold but talk is matchday availability will be limited. I think season ticket holders have till 1st June to renew their seat. Add in those and we're probably around 5000.

Hopefully we can have a good start in the first few games for a change and the big crowd we get for the first home game will continue throughout the season rather than tapering off before it picks up in the run in again like it usually does. UTG !

Sales for end of may I believe are...... north terrace 2018 (over 54% capacity) East terrace 878 (over 37% capacity) West terrace 717(over 65% capacity) Family terrace 260 (over 36% capacity)
East stand 1160 seats West stand (including boxes ?) 710 seats South stand (including away allocation and segregation) 1008 seats
Assuming all seats in West and East stands are sold out and 50% of south stand sell .
Terrace 3873 Seats 2370
Total season tickets....6243 or about 57% of capacity.

I am not sure where the natural place to post this thought as it sort of also crosses over into the threads relating to the role of the supporters club too. Anyway - here are my thoughts:
The increase in gates at the end of the season, together with the current demand for advance sales of season tickets is nothing short of amazing. Progress on the pitch, and the new owners stabilising the infrastructure of the club have made this a fantastic time to be a gashead. The new owners openly state that one of the reasons they bought the club was because of untapped potential of the fanbase. To a certain extent, that is already showing results.
However, the "business case" for the development of the club is based around filling a new stadium of with a capacity in excess of 22,000.
In my opinion, one of the areas where we can all help in that is to encourage friends and family to come along to the games, to start to build that fanbase now and to play to near packed crowds even when we are still at the Mem. In my opinion, the encouragement of new fans should now be one of the main focusses of the SC (spreading the word etc etc).
Just a thought.

Particularly the WEST TERRACE , which is going to be sold out most games it would appear and I doubt pay on the day will be available there this season. It looks like it could be the biggest average attendance in FORTY YEARS if most away teams bring 4-500 fans.

Well the terrace stats seem to be correct according to these latest figures (https://bristolroverssc.co.uk/2016/05/29/st-latest/) and the East & West stand are virtually guaranteed to sell out so it's just the South Stand stats which maybe out, but that still surely means 6,000+ s/t sold so far, I sense the West terrace may sell out completely as fans won't want to take the chance of not getting a ticket on match days? At this rate we could sell 7,500 s/t's!

Who knows with the south stand.....I'm guessing (that magic word again) that 250 seats will be available for away fans and a segregation area of about 100 seats . 500 tickets sold leaving about 150 for match day sales ? With just 383 terrace places left on the west terrace and that number going down every hour its just 6 tickets sold each day and it will be sold out. Seeing as they have been selling at about 25 a day it's not going to take long. Two weeks maybe three at tops. If you want to use the covered west terrace this season or know people who might...don't hang about best get that season ticket now !

I imagine that the discount at it's current level will continue till the end of June with only the installment plan ending earlier. If taylor stays and we make a couple of quality signings the numbers could be boosted further, also people who usually pay on the day in the west terrace may not want to risk not being able to stand there.

It's pretty difficult to attract new people, children to the Mem for an all round enjoyable experience because some aspects are abysmal. We have portaloos behind our main terrace. The Family stand is truly shocking and full of selfish ignorant adults. Service at the bars is so slow that the club must lose a large % of potential takings every match. Parking is dreadful. A lot of this will be rectified with a modern purpose built stadium. A publicity drive and novelty will drive ticket sales. I am a little concerned though that we are not striking whilst the iron is hot. A new ground doesn't sound as appealing when you are looking over your shoulder...

No sure I see your logic with this post as if we sell anywhere near 7,500 surely we attracting regular fans like we've never done for years, perhaps even decades? Whilst a high percentage of these may already be regular fans, some will be newcomers plus if have 7,500 s/t's surely we'll still have the 1,000/2,000 who pay on the gate. However unattractive the Mem is that's impressive figures given recent average attendences.

I think having a shiny new stadium with good facilities will bring some families in but the majority of occasional fans from before will start coming more regulary the higher up the pyramid we go regardless of facilities. Most fans don't give a toss about having to have a fag in the rain or a crap in a portaloo, not to the extent that they'll stay away if they're enjoying the football.

Look, get me wrong. I appreciate the positive spin and am happy that our sales are up.(They should be though in all fairness and the back slapping is a tad strange considering we were playing Chester 18 months ago and Bolton next season)
Truth is though our ground is sh1t. It holds us back massively and the positive remarks appearing here are similar to the ROSE/TRASH remarks which rubbished our requirements for a new/larger stadium. If we are still at the ramshackle Mem in 10 years, I swear some on here will STILL be saying it's ok! It's not, it's sh1t and is probably one of the sh1test grounds in the English professional leagues.

The atmosphere is better than the majority of grounds I've been to and the pitch is good to. Yes the toilets are vile and some bits are uncovered. It looks crap but I don't go to football to look at the stadium I go to watch the football.

Our atmosphere is not as good as we like to make out, but that's a separate topic.. I won't waste anymore time on this as its obvious to anybody whose honest enough to admit the truth.
