So are seats for west and east stands sold out or are there still some available? I would imagine some fans have held back from buying elsewhere in the ground in the hope they would be back on sale after the deadline passed.

Thats pretty impressive to sell all the exec boxes for the whole season.
If the FFS cant get a box than there is alllways hospitality in the dri build to go for

This might sound like a silly question, IF we've sold 6000 season tickets, would we be making a profit on the remainder?

The author of the article that states that 6,000 STs have been sold has a long history of being right about things before official confirmation comes from the club. In any case, the supporters club website reported that 3,871 terrace season tickets had been sold by 4pm on 30 July. If you add on the East and West Stands, which are bound to sell out you're already at over 5,000. If you add tickets sold since the SC article and the South Stand, then 6,000 sounds about right. www.bristolrovers.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=448566VitalGas writes about anything and everything Rovers related. He gets a lot more wrong than he does right. Seems he's quoted figures from earlier on in this thread, including mine replying to "youmadethis up" post? Well the terrace stats seem to be correct according to these latest figures (https://bristolroverssc.co.uk/2016/05/29/st-latest/) and the East & West stand are virtually guaranteed to sell out so it's just the South Stand stats which maybe out, but that still surely means 6,000+ s/t sold so far, I sense the West terrace may sell out completely as fans won't want to take the chance of not getting a ticket on match days? At this rate we could sell 7,500 s/t's I can't see any reason to doubt 6,000 will be soldd once all the seat s/t's are renewed/sold?

a higher percentage paying less per game average must make the books look confusing....
edit: infact I wouldn't be surprised if they want to bring forward a cut-off date for ST sales....

ST's bought in one lump sum means guaranteed income up front, I'm assuming the finance ones are as well and the finance company take a bit of interest. Money in the bank before season starts. What we need is someone high up in the club who has the knowledge on how to make the piggy bank fatter. If only we had someone who knew a bit about banking........

I think you will find that they mean 16 of the 18 which is all they ever sell up front, as there are many different packages that have to be fulfilled throughout the season just like the FFS. But a fantastic result this early in the close season.

We were told yesterday that no boxes will be available to hire for individual matches, unless the 1883 club are not using theirs for an odd game.

If the FFS cant get a box than there is alllways hospitality in the dri build to go for Ive already pencilled in with the club for the FFSC to be match sponsors for the 1st home game However nothing yet confirmed until fixture release and we wont be getting any "special deals" this year unfortunately. Once fixtures released and ive confirmed with the club our "Match Sponsorship" package i will post details in a new thread However it would be interesting to see potential numbers of those FFSC members interested

OK! I will try to encapsulate various posters and comments, as I see it, in this post: Gashead79 appears to be trying to be Devil's Advocate too often, to the point where it is annoying (to me anyway)!............. Red shirts anyone? (I would mention that I got my Gran to knit a blue and white/red and white scarf, that ended up about 30 feet long, when we played in red and white stripes as our away colours). I do not think anyone would disagree that the Mem is below par for League One football, let alone Championship, but it is still better than a rented ground, 22 miles (approx.) from our spiritual home. However, it is not anywhere near as bad as many grounds for atmosphere, Trashcan for instance. The pure, overwhelming delight that Ricky Lambert's goal caused in the Paint Trophy semi-final exceeded even the hatred that the new kids on the block created at Trashcan on 14.9.13. As an aside: One of the best football experiences I have had was in the Robins pub, when Rovers played Newcastle after Eastville got torched by some Spamheads: The Geordies had left home on the Friday night; gone to a disco in Brum; slept in their coaches overnight: arrived at the Robins (Ashton Gate for those who do not know) and then joined in card games with the Rovers fans who used the pub (me, for instance, being from the posh end of 'artcliffe). They were scheduled to get home around lunchtime on the Sunday: I asked them what their wives/girlfriends thought about those arrangements and got some strange looks, along with such comments as, "It's football"!" Yatton: I get the impression that you are trying to impress/please a new wife? You mention " my 5yr old lad" and "my Mrs and her 10yr old daughter" That suggests to me that your reasons are outside of football and more to do with your relationship. I apologise if this seems personal , but it is what your posts express to me. Long John Silver: The Mem may be awful but it still knocks spots off Twerton. to be fair I wasn't really trying to compare the two but i think a lot of younger fans haven't known us to play anywhere else and hold a affiliation with the mem that i don't really share but yes twerton was a sh** ground as well.

This might sound like a silly question, IF we've sold 6000 season tickets, would we be making a profit on the remainder? It all depends what the break even point is now, under NH's ownership it was amazingly 9,500 during our relegation season!

I won't read about how rosey everything is when it's not though. I'll normally look for a different angle to the masses whom I watch commit suicide followed by a somersault depending on the news feed. I believe in a red themed kit. The Mem is crap. I wouldn't have been upset had DC left.

I think the 6000 mentioned is a very optimistic 'guess'. The club released a statement a couple of weeks ago, stating 4300 ish, including seats. They will no doubt issue another one soon, but with the rate they've apparently been selling, I would doubt the figure is much more than 4700 or thereabouts. Happy to be proved wrong though. this is how i feel. All too confusing. If the 4300 figure INCLUDING seats was right then can't see how many more existing seat holders will suddenly swell the numbers. Surely most people who had a ST seat, & are now faced with a price freeze & increased demand for seats would have had a no-brainer moment and renewed pretty quickly.

I agree that we need a newer bigger stadium to move the club forward but what I'm saying is our ground isn't sh** for atmosphere and the pitch isn't sh**. I go to football to watch football and enjoy the atmosphere. I think what gashead79 is trying to do is look at it from a more neutral perspective. Yes, you and I couldn't give a sh** about the standard of ground really. We love The Gas and would probably go to watch if they were playing at Eastville Park. But, to draw in those neutral fans, that are very different to us, requires good facilities. I don't really understand why myself, as it's hard to imagine not being as obsessed as I am. But clearly, as proven with other clubs and their new grounds, people do really get drawn in by a decent stadium. Add to that the fact a new stadium brings in new revenue streams, allowing us to spend more on players, improving the team, and therefore (in theory) being better to watch.... those fans then stay and then we're looking decent! playing Devil's advocate, what is a neutral fan & why do we need to please them? Do you mean a casual fan? someone who can take it or leave it but is interested in rovers and is a gashead? and can be swayed by getting the facilities, price, view etc they desire? If so, that's ok but I'm a bit worried about the idea of loads of neutral fans not that interested in passionate allegiance and / or plastics who just latch onto a successful side ( if we ever get that...it's still very early days) & stick photos up on instragram saying they've been to the football... :-D

I suppose that depends on what proportion of seated season ticket holders, had already renewed by then. If a large proportion leave it to the last week before they go on general release, then a substantial increase is perfectly possible. We shall just have to wait for the next update. If you add tickets sold since the SC article and the South Stand, then 6,000 sounds about right. www.bristolrovers.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=448566The author also also said we were being taken over by a Birmingham based consortium... He just reads stories form here, then posts them on Vital.
