Maybe he's just tired of answering the same bleeding questions all the time. Ever since the takeover they've been interviewed countless times and said the same things over and over again, and yet people still bleet on. GIAFR!

Ok I'm going to suggest this. SH: - it's Monday morning, the last week before the season starts. I guess he might be busy. Maybe he was dealing with something for the UWE, or the team. Or maybe he was just catching up with stuff from the weekend, maybe signing paperwork for the Mem improvements who knows. Shirts: the release date of 1st August isn't a coincidence. I guess again it had something to do with the old contract and thus out of BRFCS control. The lack of children's shirts is poor. But again, I very much doubt that SH etc simply shrugged their shoulders. I guess there have been cross words and a flea put in Macrons ear. Not everything at BRFC is within the clubs,0and therefore SH'S control. Well it bloody should be, just another case of him not being caring enough. String him up.

You don't like him. We get it. Does it really need a thread every couple of days? Bloody hell, this is nothing compared to the anti old board threads. The shirt fiasco would have been a 300 page hit with the old board. The honeymoon period has to end at some point, they have had it very easy because of the promotion, lucky boys. I think they've had it easy because they've kept us informed on the things we want to know, theyve provided the funds to keep our top manager and top players, they've wiped the debts clear and they seem like genuine people with a love of football. If we hadn't won promotion all those things would still stand.

Took my little one down to the fun day yesterday; got to meet all the players. Linesy signed his shirt, Mansell signed the cast on his leg, Lockyer signed his crutches, Lee Brown signed the tattoo he's got of his face on his back, Macca gave him a hug, Mattee signed his Rovers football and Easter posed for a snap. All good and well I hear you say. Pffft - SHAMBLES.
My lad is devastated. The players mean nothing to my boy. It's all about Steve Hamer. He's always supported him throughout his career and when he joined the Gas as chairman he was in a state of euphoria for about 3 weeks. His room is adorned with pictures of "our Steve" as he's become affectionately known. He's currently saving for a "Hamer sleeve" or something like that; reckons he's gonna get "Steve's story" documented down his arm. He's also changed his name by deed-pole to Steve and on Saturday I took a delivery for a life-sized doll of Mr Hamer. God knows what that's for.
So imagine my utter disgust when I find out that Steve f**king Hamer is nowhere to be seen at the fun day. I tried to console my lad but he's locked himself in his room since we got home yesterday and I'm now in work today having not been able to get a single minutes sleep last night due to the noise of him crying coming from the next room. I've booked him in with a therapist for this Friday but - between you and me - I'm not sure he'll ever recover from this.
Hamer - if you're reading this - you sir are a f**king disgrace and an embarrassment to this football club. Hang your head in shame.
Fun Day?! It should be renamed to "Don't Bother Coming Because Your Day and Your Life Will Most Probably be Ruined Through Sheer Disappointment and Unparalleled Misery Day". Livid.

Hamer is like the politician who continually gets put on TV by the government to put a positive spin on bad news! Never mind undercarriages and landing lights, I think he'll need to start using hangglider analogies soon!

Jesus, can't understand what some people on here moan about. He went to Sabadell, yes it was with Wael but he was there and he has been seen in many interviews. Give the man a chance.
The lack of kit is mostly down to the supplier after we have just changed from one to another. We were contracted to errea to sell thier merchandise up to a date.
Southend only just got thier kits on Friday just gone. We are not the only ones who have to wait.
And bringing up the UWE non announcement every time as an argument again is so petty, yes it was an error but in last 6 months we have been promoted, are current ground has been improved, we will soon all have a a replica shirt to wear and I have full confidence a new ground will be delivered.
If not having a shirt I guess is all people have to moan about I suppose it's not all bad.

And the SC did not have a tombola! There was always one under Higgs! Is this concrete proof of a fall out with the new board and the SC (sic)

Yet again Steve Hamer was conspicuous by his absence. He was in his office all day but didn't seem to want to be involved with the fans yet again. Assuming he was in his office working and not playing solitaire I think most would be happy with this, we have heard more from this chairman than any other I can recall so not going to complain.

It seems the only time he gets involved is when our President is there. i thought it odd that he didn't even show when the player sponsors were thanked for their contribution to the club, the young pirates who again drew a blank etc etc etc. With the farce about non delivery of the kids shirts, I thought the least he could do would be to draw the flack from the plebs, but no. Thankfully our president is made of sterner stuff, and is a real people person, and he really is the one that counts. Maybe he just doesn't like you?

As a 'fun' day suggests it's more for the kids out there to meet the players and such, can't honestly believe any of the younger supporters either know or care who Mr. Hamer is, also I honestly can't even believe that the older supporters who were there would've been that bothered if at all that he didn't come out of his office and to say he didn't seem to want to be involved seems a bit presumptuous if you ask me, how do you know he didn't? I would imagine he's a very busy man at this time of the year and what real difference would it be to anyone if he was there? Just so a couple of people could have a moan about not being able to buy a shirt (which I will agree is a bit poor in this day and age) but everybody knew well in advance that this would be the case. Just another chance to have a moan about something no matter what it is imo. Hurry up Saturday and then people can get back to moaning about the football at least and not searching for anything no matter how small to moan about. In the 3 times me and the Mrs have been there was no trace of Higgsy. I guess Steve Hamer was in the office working and allowing the players, manager and staff to be front, right and centre. I think there is some mischief going on here. I just can't see people queuein up and I think the comment about not being back under his tenure is very tongue in cheek unless I am mistaken. I guess a few are being caught out hook line and sinker on this. It's been a couple of years since I used the old forum so I need to get a feel for this un but I do think that post was harking back to the Kev spencer ban times.
