I don't know what's worse? Reading some of this doom after a defeat with 45 games to go, or imagine the complete nonsense had we won! [br) Careful!!! That sounds like rational, reasoned, calm thinking. We don't want that on this forum. Far better to go with outrageous panicking. Seriously - how you can draw conclusions from the first match, away,to a promotion contender, on a hot energy sapping afternoon beats me. Still, I suppose I'm just a happy clapper. www.11v11.com/league-tables/league-two/30-september-2015/people should keep this league table in mind for the next month or so. What happens at the start of the season does not fully reflect the table after 46 games. After 10 matches last season. Oxford 6th Northampton 10th BRFC 14th Add Wimbledon 16th. That said though the bottom 5 or 6 didn't change that much.....so let's hope BRFC can do enough to not be in that zone come October.

Thought we started the game on the front foot yesterday. Taylor is quality, and scored a great goal. IMO Sinclair struggled, he did not seem to know his role and was regularly out of position. Scunny always looked like they had a bit extra, and took their first two goal very well. Linsey played well; DC has plenty to think about over the weekend, no doubt he will bringing in some more players asap.

Anybody else think Leads looked a bit lacking in confidence? Hardly ever if at all actually run at the opposition and try and beat his man, either seemed to look for a short pass or put a cross in.
Real shame, as his pace is his greatest asset. Hopefully DC can get him going.

Real shame, as his pace is his greatest asset. Hopefully DC can get him going. It may be several players were nervous...first match of the season. Also many have not played at this level so might have been a bit guarded on the confidence side. It's gonna be a bumpy ride and although if you are in the bottom six after ten games that's likely to indicate a season of struggle for the rest of the table you really do have to wait for game 20 for the table to start shaping up in a way it will resemble come final day. Even then last season rovers were 12th and had lost 8 drawn 1 and won 8 (19 games...rovers had a game in hand for a while) . It can't be relied upon that the season gets better as the team grows in character and belief but fans should not over react , don't forget the current manager is the most successful manager in the clubs history in terms of promotions won. If he were to gain another promotion at rovers he would have equalled all the other managers put together. Like players managers have dips in form even sir Alex did , it could be in the best interest of BRFC to keep DC for many years to come and have belief he will come through any bad spells.

first signs of madness that is , having a word with yourself . First sign of madness is believing players like clarke, gosling and sinclair are league one standard. Agree

While some people think Sinclair is a good player who runs about putting in tackles and blocks, he does wander out of position and this leaves holes in midfield. I'd like to think he can improve and perhaps slow down and be more accurate with his passing, but to be a top player you need anticipation and I am not sure he has that

Well you have to give them a bit more than 90 minutes in League One to be able to decide that. Have you ever posted positively about the players & manager? You're always making your point known after a loss, and I'm pretty sure you were one of the few who got a bit personal towards DC during the Leeds saga? On the other hand, I've never seen you credit the players/manager after a win or promotion?

Many times actually, unfortunately some people get a bit touchy when the truth is told, it shatters their illusionary perception of reality. A lot of our players are not good enough for league one, i'm sorry if that sounds harsh, unfair or upsets you in any way, and yes they did bloody well achieving promotion, but for a lot of them this league is a step too far.

Maybe just maybe, DC is just feeling his way in these first few games to see who can and can't hack it, same as the beginning of last season, it's all very well demanding more players immediately but those same people , if memory serve were goosing higgs for giving out 3 year contracts and having a largish squad, again maybe DC though a few more would leave during the close season ,in all honesty his hands are tied , every player from last year was promised a contract, many took the offer up so in effect that limits the amount of players he could bring in.

Let's give it a few games eh though I was on OTIB for a minute Just popped over there to try to read what they pass as writing. To find I've been copied and pasted onto their delightful pages....oh the fame. Unfortunately the word "joking" at the start of a sentence seems to not be quite a big enough hint of a tongue in cheek statement. Well you can't expect too much I guess. :-D I should include ©You made that up 2016 From now on haha

Every time he attacked them they were worried and he did this several times in first half. He tried lots of 1-2s. When we went 442 he looked vulnerable because we were being overwhelmed in midfield. Overall thought he was ok, better in first half than second but so were most of them. UTG!

Shouldn't that read when I give my own personal view? Until the team's played a few games none of us really know who's up to Div 1 football and who's not going to make the grade just saying none are good enough is just being a bit stupid, as using your logic Vardy would still be playing lower league football as he'd never been given a chance higher up the leagues.

UTG! hes a good player but he is scared to take on a man,I've seen so many times he get to the last man then stops and passes it back, with his pace he should take a gamble and knock it pass them and put the after burners on and whip a crops over for the tripod If he done that more often(like he did v Oxford away) he would be playing in the championship
