Really don't think this will work but happy to be proved wrong! I don't think Sinclair is good enough to make the starting lineup and Bodin really must be on the pitch. Still a fairly strong lineup though and as always darell knows best  Not sure I'd put OC above Sincs though using that logic? Surprised at the lack of width in the starting 11 and also a bit of a turn up the new signing, BM, doesn't even make the bench, although there's plenty of attacking options on the bench. I'd have Easter as attacking mid to start off with alongside lines and Clarke, I'm more worried about our defensive options on the bench, if Hartley and Lockyer both pick up injuries we only have one defender on the bench (I presume we would switch to 442?). I think Lockyer is captaining the side today as mcCrystal and mansell aren't playing, very big day for him! |

Starting wih the cagey 3-5-2 to start with to try and get to half time level and then bring on Bodin and maybe Montano in the 2nd half to unlock Scunthorpe. |

Id play our best players in their natural positions and let Scunthorpe worry about us. If that doesn't work then at least we start to get an idea if certain players can handle this league, albeit only in the first game. |

I can never understand DC's defensive approach at the start of games, but two promotions seems to prove he's right and I'm wrong on that score.
DC's confirmed BM is out injured, as is LM plus LL!

I agree that this is likely to be the case. Perhaps DC also thinks that a central defensive three can better deal with the presence of the Irons' front two. |

Well quite obvious really, our manager....you know the one who has helped us to back to back promotions for the first time in our history, and who turned down Leeds Utd to stay with us......has opted to play a certain formation and team to support that, not rocket science that. No doubt you would have been one of the people moaning that DC didnt play Bodin when we secured an away point at Stevenage, which helped provide us with one of our greatest football moments ever...... |
