I think the Chelsea lads may add a bit of skill to the side but it's a bit of bite what we need. As for Boatang I can't place him.
At least we will be winning more free kicks/penalties as one of the first things young Premiership players have drilled into them is how to go down easily.
If Darrel sees these players as a help to Rovers and the current squad then that's good enough for me

Boateng appears to be just what we need. The other two are a bonus but could be anything and I'm excited to see how they get on. Just one thing - can the defender play left back? That is one position I'm still concerned that we don't have properly covered if Brown gets injured.

The bloke's 6ft and built like a wardrobe. The way I see it is we now have Boateng, Clarke and Mansell to do the ball-winning, Lines and Colkett to provide some quality on the ball, and Sinclair to harass and get in people's faces.

One season doesn't make them bigger. That's like saying Burton are bigger than Portsmouth because they are 2 leagues higher and on the up. Historically, Coventry and Sheff Utd are far bigger clubs. I'm not standing up for the Sh1t, but your argument has more holes than a Nick Higgs contract. 150'years ago GB owned one third of the globe. We were the dominant trading, industrial and military power. Does that make us bigger than China, America or Germany are now? In football terms we would be in league 2 and they would all be Premier League teams regularly playing in the Champions league. Sheff.U, Coventry and Portsmouth are all capable of regrouping and climbing above The Sh1t and Burton, but at the moment they are the more successful and bigger teams. More successful yes, not bigger. You can't judge a clubs size just on there league standing. You have to take history and amount of fans etc into account as well.

There's not a team in L1 that would pass the chance to have Colkett & Clarke-Salter. No doubt they are unknown but with the right tutoring could be great additions for us.

I had an inkling he might be but couldn't place the bloke, I didn't think I saw him against us last season? That was the area I had concerns about the most. Well done Darrel.

For some reason people seem to think we have pulled off some sort of coup, I'm A little disappointed to be honest, 2 youth players with no league experience who's parent club will most likely still be paying there wages and another loan who has played 20 games in league 2.... Hardly pushing the boat out is it . I for one am hoping that weal is going to turn out to be the messiah we all hoped he was. Mate, youth players from Chelsea, especially as these seem to be good ones not dross, are generally much better than league one players. There was always one kid or perhaps two in school who were absolute mustard. Our team is full of these. Chelsea's kids are the best of the best of all of these kids. May take a while to get accustomed but I wager they will be utter class in ability terms. I would take these over grizzled journeymen any day - we have a fair bit of experience here now, and need some flair and quality - that's what is lacking Yeah I agree with that, having the likes of Mansel and Mildenhall in the squad will be a massive help with these youngsters. I'd rather we took these two young lads from Chelsea on than two experienced players with less technical ability. We've been crying out for some flair and quick thinking and fast legs this season and youngsters will give us that.

I'm sorry but as much as I dislike the city they are on par with both of those clubs.Sheff utd and coventry have better history's then the 82ers but if all three were in the premier they all would be getting the same kind of crowds. As city are in a far better position then the other two right now it's not a invailed point. We ourselfs once in the UWE have the same potential as those three also.

DC said Roberts didn't play against us in that pre-season game. DC had to think about the answer for a moment when interviewer asked, looked a little embarrassed tbh.

Those two Chelsea players are very decent. Loftus cheek and Solanke were the two stars in that team. Tammy Abraham (4 goals this season) and Alex Kiwomya (3 goals this season) were up and comers like Colkett. Salter-Clarke is the jewel in the crown for Chelsea as its known decent CBs in English football are rare - he is so calm in defence it's freakish and plays the ball out better than Stones and in time will be on par with Rio. He had that ex-Fulham starlet now at Celtic Patrick Roberts in his pocket in the 2013–14 FA youth cup final. Can't wait to see him play in quarters. Not putting too much pressure on him then To be fair I don't know much about the two kids from Chelsea, surprised others do but I hope they're as good as people are suggesting! Same here mate I know nothing about them but fingers crossed !
