Ok someone has to vocalise the dream. You all know what I am talking about...
If we could get three in a row, would that be a record? Has any team done 3?
Would we lose Clarke, think so.

Ask the question again after the next 2 games,we've just beaten 2 poor sides imo, still happy with the start we've made though If we were in the mix come January and we strengthened again then maybe we would have a shout but not getting excited, heard someone behind me talking about the table and where we were etc...means nothing this time of the season, come xmas we will know who's going to be there or thereabouts Hope we really go for it tues we got nothing to fear we're both in the same division and where you've been before means f all so come on gas let's go on one of our unbeaten runs

I can't think of a team that has achieved 3 consecutive promotions.
Wimbledon went from the 4th Division to the top flight in 5 years though.
We've certainly got a chance, the standard in League 1 isn't that different to League 2 imo
Apart from the 2nd half against Scunthorpe, we haven't been outclassed and we have the firepower and are scoring in every game, we just need to start keeping clean sheets as we can't always keep coming back from a goal down.
Let's wait and see

Please stop this talk!
Promotion would be the worst thing to happen to us now. Consolidate in this league and then go for it over the next 2/3 years.
Promotion this year would kill the club and good atmosphere we have at the moment.

The frightening but good thing is we battered a few teams and only got draws, so our points total could have been even better. Seen enough of Roos to say lets get him in, the only other young keepers I liked were Etheridge and Andersson. If we can stay injury free I think we will be in the mix, looking forward to seeing champagne Charlie get more game time. Unless he is going to play for England in Chelsea eyes I think we could end up keeping him, if we treat him right and that means getting him more game time, exciting times. Plus not losing T bone- Taylor in January window.

Interesting times ahead, again. UtGas

Would make it more likely we'd keep him. Why would he leave us if we had achieved championship status with (hopefully) the uwe only by then a year away.

I hate the word consolidate, why not have ambition to do better? Nothing wrong with that

If it is a possibility after xmas and the uwe is a done deal i believe wael will back clarke financially to go for it. Obviously playing a season of championship football at the mem wouldn't be ideal but you can't control when these things come up. If we could go up to that division at twerton we can do it now.

Nothing wrong with that Getting dicked every week, players wanting to leave a struggling team, manager may get sacked (yep even DC) etc. Obviously you would take promotion if you can and worry about the consequences later but there is a risk we could do something similar to what Yeovil did. More worthwhile to stay mid-challenging play offs for now.

One season at the mem, and not subjected to fair play for first season means we could compete, that will be when real investment in the team would be needed. Rotherham stayed up last season and Burton aren't being disgraced. A holding operation for one season before uwe completion.

Brentford(Although they've spent a bit of money over the last couple of years), Rotherham and Burton have held their own in The Championship. There is no need to just stand still as a club.

How do you put off getting promoted in football? I've always wondered. We haven't thrown the kitchen sink at getting promoted the past two seasons and we have done so. If the same looks like its happening this year do we start losing on purpose towards the end or...?
