i think 95% of Rovers fans support this and its just the "chosen few" who know better I was chatting to someone in the bar about the NH interview before last weeks game. Ignoring the stadium stuff since, he was far from impressed with the chairman who has presided over unprecedented failure at BRFC Why should we all feel sorry for an apparent succesful multi millionaire businessman who has thrown good money after bad due to poor management? The buck must always pass to the top. UWE aside, its been a very bad reign.

Id like to know a good chance based on what exactly 5-12 on a Sunday seems excessive and i would hope in the real world unreasonable to everyone. It has already been rejected, so what can reasonably be done to get it through. Errecting massive fences doesnt seem like it. We all know the area. Imagine a massive lorry rattling past Filton Ave at 5 on a Sunday Morning. I dont want it to fail, just dont see how anyone would find that acceptable You're quite right. To be honest if I lived there I'd rather put up with a load of beer swilling pasite eating yobs every other week, than lorries trundling past my house at all hours. Thing is though you soon get used to it and don't hear it, when southmead hosp opened the fake bird calls and helicopters were annoying, but now we dont hear any of it, and theres quite a few heli's coming in at night, its one of those wierd thing after a while your ears learn to block it out, in the past i've been in houses yards from main railway lines with signals in line with the house and again its only noisy until you get used to it then its inaudable

Forget the detail - that will work itself out - I just care about what our leader assured fans to be the case Just focus on whether the chairman could reasonably describe this contract as water tight, given they've been on warning for over a year that there is a clause in the sale contract which doesnt match the planning consent received and the buyer pointed that breach out, and 6 months ago said they wanted out verbally and in writing. Water tight yes/ no? so its not watertight. So he used a bad word should we remove him and his money and push us closer to folding as a result? In my opinion, no. So the stadium plan failed. We are no worse off stadium wise than we were and it was a nice idea if it wasn't for trash. I will never understand how people use the stadium thing to push the higgs lynch agenda. That's just me. I'm sure I'm the minority. what Agenda, I've never suggested Higgs Out - why would I say or want that? No idea what you're going on about Higgs is our leader, and owner and there is no viable alternative at this moment in time. People who think otherwise are delusional. However just one iota of humility from the man, and a recognition that he knows there as been mistakes, the buck stops with him and he'll try and learn from his mistakes would massively help At the moment he just seems aggressive and his behavior is that of a bully, its his ball and if you dont like it feck off Theres a whole list of things I've put on other forum I wont bore you with again , where he has been prven to have made poor judgements. Yes some with hindsight, but just one ounce of sincerity and saying he's learned would go a 1000 miles to heal the wounds so many feel SOmetimes he seems to forget he runs a business where the customers cant just go to a competitor and try their approach and wares. They will just disappear. A football clubs supporters need to feel part of something and at the moment everytime he opens his mouth, whther you like it or not he looses 1, 10 or 100 fans. Its so easy to put right don't exaggerate the truth, don't say things which are not correct when a cant comment would do, and when something goes wrong, not only say your sorry, but show you accept that and will learn. Is that really so hard??

I desperately want Higgs to run Rovers better. Is that too much to ask?

The local rag seems to sum up the sequence of events pretty well. There was always a show-stopper hidden away, and it was never watertight, it appears. www.bristolpost.co.uk/events-unfolded/story-22818770-detail/story.htmlBut these things are common in big planning applicaions. An applicant submits a plan which is not the ideal solution for them, but judges that it will get them past the planning hurdle and get the thing built. Once approved and built, they then submit a post-planning application for just a teeny amendent to one small clause of the whole deal, which is much easier to manage and get approval for. I imagine they told NH this (at the stage when they actually wanted the thing built), and assured him it would be dealt with whilst we were playing our way to the Championship on the silky UWE turf. But just to cover themselves, in case things went t*ts-up, or they just changed their minds about the whole thing at some unforeseeable later date, they included the store-onerous clauses. Very wise of them. Oops for us. What i cant accept though is the club telling us everything is fine and proceeding when sainsburys have told us for months they dont want to build and a big condition of the contract hasnt even been met I have to ask, is there anything WE can do ? Surely now, instead if me sniping, as I have, I have to think is there anything I or WE can do to help ? If you can think of anything let me/us know. I don't accept it either BTW but the writ gives us one side of it and we are not privvy ( well I am not) to what BRFC says about this store onerous stuff. Maybe, just maybe there is another side to this ? I bloody well hope so and would like the club to at least tell us if there is anything we can do to help.

And there you go again, who told you what last night? Because unless the Planning Inspector told you well in advance of the decision, I suspect its just another opinion of someone not involved in the decision making process. i was out for a beer with a very good friend who knows a good bit more about the planning process than most people on here and he explained in simple terms i did not understand about the appeal process and who is involved. He was very confident that the appeal would be successful based on the information he was privy to and NO i'm going to state what it is for obvious reasons, even if i understood it So i'm confident the appeal with go through even if you lot are not - that of course if it gets that far. Still we should stay out of Administration for the next 6 weeks Thank you Henbury That is good enough for me. I am done with the sniping. I really appreciate your post

Nothing, it will be played out in the court and/or drag on for ages. Hashtags, boycotts or whatever as some have suggested will acheive nothing will they apart from some people make them feel better about their own hipocracy

I have to admit , my opinion of someone who says sorry I will learn from this, is opposite to Mancgas, I think that person is weak and just trying to win friends, everyone in politics says it, the police say it , our teachers say it...etc, the saying sorry I will learn from this is just lip sevice and a cop out IMHO

Geoff Dunford @geoffdunford 15m
Nick Higgs and the board can deliver a new stadium for our club. It is time for Gasheads to support them We must move forward together #UTG
Geoff Dunford @geoffdunford 4m
@stowtom2010 . Tom, time to judge is after the event. Now is time for everyone to support the directors and the club. Believe me.
So, does he know something we don't?

They need to start being honest with the fans then, startin with the review, the banning of KS and the stadium. We dont expect miracles just honesty and humbleness.
