self defence fair enough, but throwing punches uncontrollably is a bit too far... It appeared to be awful stewarding from the video and not something you should ever see. It was mate, just an absolute shambles. I kept asking the stewards and the police to move the net and all of this would be calm, but there response was "we're under instructions from the club not to move the net". Utter nonsense |

The law as I understand it allows a officer (or anyone else) to act in self defence if they feel they are in danger. That response must be necessary and proportionate to the danger faced and must cease as soon as the danger has passed. If the threat level decreases, so must the level of the response. Ah i see so that old gent was a total threat to the police, and the plastic pig in the other video felt so threatened by the fans inside the stadium that he pulled the punching steward away from fans and kept him by him . If i was laying into a steward like that would mr pretend policeman have been so lenient i doubt it. Even at the mem there are coppers who just want to fight and will try and incite someone to start |

It's not a prejudice to think that every foaming at the mouth racist voted Brexit, it's a fact. Please quote your source, as if you believe that then i feel sorry for you as a person, the simple truth is the real racists voted remain as they need to travel to foster links with like minded individuals in europe. I can't believe so many people swollow the gibber jabber from the pc brigade so readily I don't want this thread to deflect off topic because what happened Saturday was totally unacceptable and should also be taken up with Macolm Clarke at the FSF (He is a Stoke fan, so will be interested in this and know the situation at Vale Park) But Inee if you want to show some evidence of your far fetched and ridiculous claim lets move to another part of the forum where we won't interfere with this. |

I apologise if I have upset people with my description of the steward,I had my boy with me and 2 of his mates and if anything happened to any of them it would be a bit awkward explaining it to the other boys parents
I'm not a racist in any way I was just wound up and describing the steward,like I said I spoke to the steward 5 mins before and cause he didn't speak English I said where are you from he said Algeria hence the North African comment

If anyone was affected by the police yesterday complain here www.ipcc.gov.uk/complaints ,their primary aim is to protect you the public not act as a private mercenary force for port vale fc. Similarly if you were affected by the stewards complain to port vale and Bcc in the FA on any emails |

And to be clear, I'm not necessarily saying the statement is true, but the statement is concisely: All racists voted for Brexit. That doesn't mean All Brexit voters are racist. It's similar to saying everyone in the Blackthorn end were Gasheads. (That might not even be true coz someone could have brought their Chelsea supporting mate with them.) That doesn't mean every Gashead was in the Blackthorn end. (Coz obviously there could be a Gashead in the West Stand.) |

Utter nonsense This is the similar to the cup match at Birmingham in our relegation season when fans weren't let up from the concourse to the stand because no one would move the net in a massive stand that had no home fans in it. Penny pinching by the clubs on not having to clean loos and pick up litter etc from all blocks is at the root of this but isn't helped when you get jobsworths who are too scared to use their initiative. vale should be called out on their policy of cramming away fans into as small a space as possible.. Why don't they do the same for the home fans too, they could then close down two whole stands? |

If anyone really wants to see some handbags There's a fez in there somewhere. I went to an away game at Port Vale once. It was over 40 years ago. We lost 4-0. It was a sh1t hole, so I've not been back there since. Wearing a Fez is the new in-thing. It's a fashion statement. I'm not at all surprised that someone else is wearing one. Rovers fans are renowned Fashionistas, especially if the Fez is worn at a jaunty angle. |

A mate of mine who is a City fan had the same problem when he went there previously. Stewards were hitting City fans too near the Bar area in the concourse.

Spoke to a Vale fan afterwards and he said that the Police and stewards are always heavy handed there even on a Tuesday night with only 3000 there the Police presence is still the same. Apparently their fans can be a bit naughty (his words). He was with his little girl who asked him as I was from the other side why was he talking to me and was I going to hit her and her dad. I was really taken aback that a little girl who must have been 5 or 6 would react like that.

A mate of mine who is a City fan had the same problem when he went there previously. Stewards were hitting City fans too near the Bar area in the concourse. I fail to see any problem there at all |
