that chart is interesting as it corresponds with what i believe and that is youngsters will vote labour as they believe they will be better off for less effort ,however once they get a bit older the realise the lie and change sides to keep more of what they earn . As for prawns they are carved from the devils arse grapes and people who eat them should be forced to watch the teds every week Well, that's one interpretation of the data.
Perhaps the young are just more in need of hope? Which only one party was selling.

Young people vote for this labour because they want a better and fairer society to live in.

The Times has commissioned a YouGov poll which suggests that Corbyn is preferred over May as Prime Minister, and that the vote to leave the EU was wrong, in hindsight. Interesting. It's only a poll, of course, but still interesting. What are we to read into this? Acceptance of a socialist agenda? Probably not. Rejection of austerity? Perhaps. Rejection of a hard Brexit? Probably. P.S. For those who don't understand what a hard Brexit means, I refer you to the global media over the last 12 months, who seem to refer to it every day. www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/news/corbyn-takes-first-poll-lead-as-voters-say-trade-is-the-priority-qt6mrhnpp

Labour manifesto - leave single market, leave customs union. Tory manifesto - leave single market, leave customs union. 85% of all votes went to either Tory or Labour.
Hardly a 'rejection' of Brexit.

Does make you wonder how old the makeup of this forum is, given Labour was comfortably ahead in age ranges up to 50. In fact they were ahead for those in work according to YouGov, full or part time.
Odd given the sort of statements which get wheeled out.

On the other hand what would have happened if he hadn't repealed prohibition and the war never happened ,a lot of money came in to the us from countries buying arms and munitions from the us That is one of the great unanswered questions. Did LBJ's reforms really end the Great Depression, or was it WW2? We'll never know for sure. I think we probably do. LBJ was still teaching High School, during the great depression.

Well, at least Nobby's comment was consistent with the Brexit manifesto😜

What lots of people haved missed with the labour party under corbyn is that its a movement and its been gathering pace for a long time. First of all with unheard of membership numbers in the labour party. Secondly despite all the unelectable clap trap the party ran a clear campaign concentrating on the things most people worry about like work contracts, health and housing. And most important for the future is a massive increase in young people getting interested in politics and the message of hope for a better and fairer world. They suddenly feel empowered and although the tories will hang onto power for as long as they can they face a heavy defeat at the next election. And they know it!

Seriously, how anyone with an ounce of common sense can want that law breaking, terrorist loving man who is stuck in the dark ages to lead this country is beyond me. The man ran the invisible woman close in the General election and now he is some kind of saviour to the council estate menials. He will dance to the tunes of the Unions and f**k this country up more so than Tony Blair. Very Dark days ahead indeed if the unthinkable happens. If your prepared to accept a private health service, massive debt by goin to univerity, zero hours contracts, massive class sizes for working class people and no chance of getting on the housing ladder for your children and grandchildren then stick with old etonians but young people are rising up against such things. Maybe you dont have kids and have a good job and maybe inheritence so it dosnt affect you? But thank god young people are waking up and realising they can change things for the better.,

If corbyn had said student fees would continue if he was in parliament ,i suspect many yung un's probably wouldn't have voted (i agree with uni fees and think they are too cheap. Another quick question ,as you say you believe in a fairer society for all ,what percentage of your wage do you handover to those worse of than you(i suspect i know the answer )

My children will get on the housing ladder as I have saved for them since birth and am working hard to pay my own mortgage. The University thing is pie in the sky!

That is one of the great unanswered questions. Did LBJ's reforms really end the Great Depression, or was it WW2? We'll never know for sure. War is just another example of government spending on large scale projects and government intervention in markets improving the economy. Discuss! Can hardly say government intervention ,more like world then jap intervention . Of course the reality is we will never know but can speculate as if im correct din't fdr's first attempt fail ,then the war came along and it succeeded. Not trying to trivialise world war but it's one of the few things that guarantees very high employment and results in more people spending ,as they don't know if tomorrow will ever come

Maybe you dont have kids and have a good job and maybe inheritence so it dosnt affect you? But thank god young people are waking up and realising they can change things for the better., Massive class sizes you tickle i pink , at school classes were large then and still are ,so i ask how many schools have labour built since the late 70's. NHS what has labour done for the nhs in recent history. Council housing erm so what has labour done since the 80's to address the lack of council housing , ask post 80's as prior to that labour had stopped building them. Why shouldn't people who go to uni pay for their courses ,after all the reason for uni traditionally was higher wages in a students chosen work path , still trying to work out how this fits in with your views on some getting high wages some getting low wages ,as surely you are paying for someone to potentially e3arn more than you will ever see . Interesting you should mention housing ladder as wasn't it the tories who started the craze for everyone to own a house in the uk ,that you seem to support ?? . Zero hours contracts , difficult one as it allows some the freedom of getting kids from schools ,maybe taking time off during holidays , fitting work around studies ,good for small businesses who need help seasonally or at busy times ,not good for large company employees, lets not forget that labour mp's ,party members and supporters will employ people using them. Just remembered ending zero hours contracts was a big promise in a previous labour election campaign ,guess what again when labour got in nothing was done ,kinda see a pattern developing.
