This time next year some on here might have learned to spell. Surely this thread should at least be plausible. 😉

Jennifer Aniston can't act? You take that back, that's my Wife you're talking about!! She's your wife in the same way Dr Hannah Fry is mine mate. 😎 Nope, she's already spoken for. 🥰

Just a thought, anyone currently in their mid 20s wouldn't have been given the chance to choose. But that’s ok because those older and wiser thought it was a good idea …… obvs being proven 100% right as the uk flourishes 🇬🇧🙄 They'd have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for those pesky kids. Just as well covid, Ukraine and "gimmigrants" muddied the waters.🤫

On to season two of The Morning Show, which despite having Jennifer Aniston (who usually couldn't act if her life depended on it), as one of the main characters, is very good. Jennifer Aniston can't act? You take that back, that's my Wife you're talking about!! I read that as "This Morning". 🤭

Remember going there in 1990 when we drew 2-2. Sure Martin Thomas was playing for them then and let in a really soft goal for us to equalise late on. Followed by chants of "Martin is a gashead, Martin is a gashead....".

Question to Yatton and France, do you have any links about the alleged racism?
In other news, Labour may edge the West Midlands Mayor. That will be a big blow to Sunak, just as the papers are reporting his detractors may be quietening down a little.

Maybe enough for Sunak? "Assuming these changes in vote share occur uniformly across each of the newly drawn parliamentary constituencies in place for the next general election, Labour wins 294 seats and would overtake the Conservatives - but falls 32 seats short of gaining an overall majority. The Conservatives fall from 372 seats on the new boundaries to just 242 seats, a projected loss of 130 seats. The Liberal Democrats rise from eight to 38 seats. As is usual in such projections, there are individual constituencies where the count of local votes shows a party "winning" a constituency when the uniform swing suggests otherwise." news.sky.com/story/sky-news-projection-labour-on-course-to-be-largest-party-but-short-of-overall-majority-13128242

He's earned it imo, if he gets the chance to move to the Championship then I'd wish him well.
Just need to get the appropriate fee.

Three of the five declared PPCs have been Labour gains from the Conservatives.
Labour lose Oldham, supposedly a Muslim protest against Labour's Gaza stance.

..and turnout basically half what it would be at a General Election. Don't get me wrong, Labour will hold it and win plenty more at an actual General Election. Just think they are a *little* bit over the top at what was basically an expected result... Exactly. Some 67% didn't bother to vote which tells you what people think of politics from all parties. It was hardly a seismic result with Labour winning on fewer votes than when they came second in 2019. What's that being clutched in your hand? Some straws? 😘 Turnout skewing figures, Reform voting will spook both parties, especially the Conservatives.

Are Labour a bit over the top about winning Blackpool South? Historic? Seismic? Not sure that it's any of those things given they won it in 1997, 2001, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2017... Big swing, though.

It's not all bad, well, sort of. "British students are flocking to Spanish universities after Madrid changed its rules post-Brexit to allow non-EU candidates to work as well as study. Spain wanted to attract more students from outside the European Union, so in 2022 it approved a reform allowing non-EU students to work up to 30 hours per week. Since 2020, there has been an 11 per cent rise in UK students in Spain, with 1,645 studying in the country last year, more than half – 58 per cent – of them women. Spain saw a sharp rise in students from outside Europe, from about 40,000 in 2020 to 122,460 last year, according to data from the Spanish government. Most are women, with the highest number heading to Madrid, Catalonia and Valencia. While EU citizens can work in any EU country without any permit, even full-time, it has become more complicated for British students after Brexit. Non-EU students often have to jump through hoops to obtain a permit and face restrictions on the hours they can work. Meanwhile, the number of EU students at British universities fell by more than half in 2021-22 after Brexit, according to figures released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency last year. The main deterrent is that EU students are no longer eligible for lower, home fees or student finance support, unless they already live in the UK with settled or pre-settled status. Before Brexit, EU students paid fees of just over £9,000, now they have to pay international fees of £22,000 on average and up to £38,000." inews.co.uk/news/world/uk-students-spain-brexit-eu-rule-change-3031778

Wages are limited to 60% of turnover? Our turnover in the last set of accounts was £7.3m.
So that would be £4.3m, with a typical L1 player earning c.£4,000 pw, that suggests a squad of only 21 players.
Just goes to show that a few higher earners can skew the figures.
