It just goes to show that a bit of transparency in communiques with the fan base goes a long way towards engendering trust, positivity and averts the hysteria that so often occurs in a communication vacuum. Well done MS and let’s hope that this sets the benchmark for future announcements.

Just out of interest, are teams still going to train together? Or is it self isolation. You have to applaud BG for implementing an effective safeguarding strategy very early on by isolating the midfield from the defence and only playing one upfront. |

I'm not sure he can make wholesale changes with the players he has available, THD & Little both injured again, Reilly & Ginelly injured, Ogogo & Upson suspended, Barrett not fit enough, JCH doubtful plus Davies & Jaakkola out long term there aren't really too many options. I'm sure if (as I think will most likely happen) we do lose the fact we have 8/9 players out will be taken into consideration when analysing the manager !!!! I think our players will turn up tonight and leave there souls in the dressing room, If players wont play for the colours then they should feck orf and let some of the yung uns play as they are hungry You can win things with kids, just ask Sir Al...Sol Campbell. 😉 |

I’m not sure about the Atmosphere but we are certainly not getting much Joy in this Division since we lost our Leaders of Men, DC (now at Warsaw) and GC, both of whom you cannot describe as Failures.
However after a few months seeking the Unknown Pleasures of the championship the Novelty has well and truly worn off with every Transmission BG makes. There is so much Disorder now that I would rather spend the Day at the (house of) Lords. He did seem like the right Candidate with his Insight however the New Dawn Fades as He’s Lost Control (again). Now the team only engage in Shadowplay and I can see us drifting into the Wilderness, a kind of Interzone between Leagues 1 & 2 about which I Remember Nothing.
These Days my fear is that our gas Love will Tear us Apart (again) as we get Closer to the trap door. In fact this Atrocity Exhibition risks further Isolation of the fan base as we Passover a glorious chance to progress, just like the Colony which appears to be merely A Means to an End. I can see that the Heart and Soul of this club will be ripped out in the next Twenty Four Hours if we don’t see a reaction against Sunderland, but ever The Eternal optimist I will still be supporting the team for Decades to come.

If BG really isn’t going anywhere then he needs to deploy emergency tactics for the rest of the season and put 10 men behind the ball for every game to give the team a realistic chance of at least achieving a draw. Being closer together they can practice their triangles to their heart’s content and the lone striker maybe gets a one-on-one opportunity every other game. He has to stop the rot any way he can, start to pick up a few points to keep the cushion between us and the bottom. Then, in the summer, if he still wants to play like Liverpool, he needs to look at what makes Klopp the man, not his tactics and budget.

I don’t like seeing home fans turn on the manager, but Benny is out of his depth and the fan base are the only one’s who can make it ugly enough to make the man walk - Give him hell from the minute he walks across the pitch, at least if he does not walk the board might take note, oh if they turn up that is!! It seems to me that Benny is at a crossroads. 😂 |
