A few people here need to give their head a wobble. If you want nosh off Barton and sweep his enormous list of misdemeanours under the carpet, then bully for you. But we've had people that do (surely understandably?!?!?!) have concerns over it being called "pathetic", "sanctimonious virtue signalling fans", amongst other things. If you want Barton, fair enough. Ironically having seen the behaviour of some over this, perhaps I shouldn't be at all that surprised. Yeah it's ridiculous. If you want him fair enough but surely you can understand people's fears and worries. Don’t quite understand the worries and fears it’s nothing to lose sleep over at the end of the day but I def wouldn’t be spouting about being “done with Rovers “ if I disagreed with the owners management appointments I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again there’s are only two constants , the fans and the shirt, the rest are tumbleweeds at best Barton might be wrong and he might be right. No one knows. But he gets us into top 8 playing nice football with a bit of pride I’m certain sure as I’ve got a hole in my a$$ the ones that “were done” - won’t be |

Astonished at people posting they are done with rovers if Barton comes in
He’s my first (and looking at the available alternatives) and only choice assuming rovers follow through and will only consider out of work options
Joey Barton’s blue n white army might be a couple lighter come appointment day but L1 safety will swell the ranks I’m sure
Will raise the profile of the gas for sure , the media love a bit of Barton
People need to get over the Barton media profile and get to know him before judging.
If he’s done wrong he will suck it up and do his time I’m sure and it’s not for us to condemn anyone who has to pay debt to society, that’s for the magistrate

It’s depressing, I said at the time I don’t care what sort of football we play as long as we win. Give me that over Garner’s 60% possession without a meaningful chance on goal any day! We’ve got even worse under PT. Spot on mate could never understand when we had Coughlan why people were moaning we were winnning, hard to beat and had pride I’ll bet my w@nking arm all the hand wringers waffling about terrible football under Coughlan would give a few quad now to be stood on a terrace watching him steward a win over Ipswich careful what you wish for eh |

Very surprised as I thought he would be given the Swindon game to prove himself. Can't be good for the players all this change. As Wael has dig deep into his pocket to pay these guys off, I see an internal appointment coming up: Mansell and Hargreaves Might have been cheaper to buy a striker. Or even just maybe try one or two we’ve already got Youuth ! |

I don’t know I havent measured it But being unemployed in Sheffield or employed in Bristol kinda focuses the mind I would suggest and this time we have a training ground which was one of his bug bears |

You make good points. We missed Ogogo He showed against Peterborough the necessary fight needed We really lack leadership dont we!!! Perhaps if we can’t agree on fight and passion and ability, or organisation we can agree with this. We are certainly lacking in leaders, this is something which is painfully obvious. Absolutely 100 percent cast iron spot on and it goes back to Garner who dispensed with Millwall Tone and Ogogo who gave us a decent , experienced spine with a bit of bite and Kilgore alongside who learned a massive amount from Tone I’m sure Garner wanted slick tippy tippy football completely forgetting (or maybe not knowing more likely ) that you don’t get the time on the ball to do it in the lower leagues and now we are reaping the rewards of this disastrous recruitment policy and sliding alarmingly towards L2 without brakes |

Any manager taking on a team with one fit striker is self destruct button. We all said this will happen 6 weeks ago and garner was allowed to bring in another midfielder and left back. Chippenham got 5 strikers and signed one on loan from us as cover. Poor tisdale must be wondering what he taken on. Garner should of been supervised from higher up the chain. Totally in balanced side ... Good point about Chippenham oddly enough our loanee has been recalled but not seen the bench let alone chance to play They can’t see the wood for the trees bemused |

So we are now dismissing people just because they've taken recreational drugs? I guess we should all dismiss The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac etc all because they've taken drugs while writing and recording great songs and albums?
