Why don’t we get some midfielders and make them strikers
Tom Nichols is now banging them in after 4 seasons honing this skill here

Time to let the kids loose
You win nothing with kids
But let’s face it
We’re not winning anyway
Time to roll the dice and give Phillips an opportunity

Totally agree. Add to skewed composition of the squad (ie loads of defenders and midfielders but few strikers) we have a dearth of fighting spirit. This team needs to win matches and is not good enough to stroll through games. This is a team that scores few goals with an inferior goal difference. Where are the leaders in this squad? One to ask our new DoF at the next Q&A? Although no doubt BG will get the blame even though somebody higher up the pyramid must have been approving all his signings. The signings late in the day of Liddle and Koiki seems particularly odd when it was already clear by the time we signed them that we needed a striker or two plus some much needed experience. We’ve recruited too many and too much of the same Craig should have been given another season and Ogogo , well I’m baffled how he was released need some grit and experience among these starlets and projects

PT is just another journey man-The whole point with BG he was not. He was brought in with a oppurtunity to build something good and sustainable. Look back at Octobers results, they were going the right way. BG would have kept us in Div 1 and carried on rebuilding. PT will take us down and then another sacking and another journey man. The board should have stuck with Garner,it was obvious there would be ups and down due to the age of the squad but they panicked and as I see it made the wrong decision. Only time will tell and I hope I am wrong You’re entitled to your opinion but you must be in a landslide minority to say you’d rather have PE teacher Garner than a manager with 15plus years experience

Got a good feeling about Tisdale, clearly going to fit in with Wael and his gang; hopefully saves his best for West Country clubs and why would anyone want to spend more than a year in Milton Keynes anyway? Because they have a fantastic Ground and training ground? The ground might be fantastic but a soulless 3/4 empty bowl next to a Nandos on the outskirts of bumfcuk East Midlands ain’t my idea of what it’s all about Gimme the mem and Glos Road and 9000 gas heads every time

Any manager that’s done 12 years somewhere must have a bit about them
And that’s what I call experience which 40 year old Garner wouldn’t have until he was 52......
I think this is a good sensible fit , the guy is local ( no family issues a la GC) he is experienced ( unlike Garner ) and we now have a training ground which was DCs continual gripe among others as he came unravelled at the end of his tenure
Seems such a shame the situation as it is now isn’t under DC , stadium aside we now appear to tick all his boxes, albeit DC has no reputation for youth development
Anyway I digress
Reasons to be optimistic and I shall be fully behind the new manager In lieu of having any other option !

Would you rather be bored to tears by GC again? At least we can see they're trying to play the right way with technically good players. Unusual watching him have to learn as he goes, and he definitely should make changes and subs sooner - but I'm still satisfied Wasn’t bored winning matches That’s what’s it’s about for me P!ssing about in the back 2/3 without penetration won’t win leagues or assault the play offs POSH have the right attitude and they’re going places, a poxy little town Club like that consistently performing With top class business done and the we’ve bought their junk last two seasons! about time we started getting the striker business right it hasn’t been since the snake left

Been a while since you were at school I presume! It’s impossible to keep 4&5 year olds apart And for their mental health I think schools should stay open And for their physical and mental health so should organised sport Either that or you enforce a TOTAL lockdown and everyone knows where they are. We're comparing education with a kick around. Bit of a difference. Nothing stopping kids have a kick around in their garden? So where does the kid that lives on the eight floor of a high rise have his / her kickabout ? on the balcony I presume not everyone has a garden

Is that your summary or actually the case, as the other posters seems to have gone into a lot of detail about contracts being paid up etc to be just talking BS? It seems odd to me JB will apparently only be considered once he's played in an U23 game but due to COVID they don't appear to have any fixtures lined up. Surely there's other ways to fully test his hamstring i.e. 6 v 6 on the training ground etc? It’s my summary as no one really knows although it’s also something I’ve been told by someone who knows a fair bit about this stuff (but I can’t say for certain that it’s definitely 100%).... I just don’t buy the whole pay up contract stuff as it doesn’t make sense - player BG rates, buys and puts into the team... criticises for fitness and takes out of the team, player comes back fitter and looking better in preseason who then gets injured... if anything his fitness would have been tougher to sort in lockdown? He’s just got back to health from the torn hamstring and just needs fitness... I get the point re 6 v 6 in training but I think they want the same intensity a competitive match will bring to test the hamstring... I just don’t get why there would be suggestions of paying up contracts etc ? He’s not a massive wage earner like Bennett or Ogogo I don’t think so I can’t see what the benefit is.... surely look to sell or loan in Jan if we want him out? You don’t have to buy into it but I have this on very good authority all this was told me 3-4 weeks ago but obvs this thread is only a week or ten days old so things might change as they often do but at this point Barrett isn’t getting near the team and Rovers refusal to buy him out 3-4 weeks ago may clearly have galvanised him to sort his muffin tops out I don’t post rumours Or start rumours and I have only one source

Barrett has been told he can go , he’s offered to be paid up 50% of his contract but Rovers have said no
Him n Garner do not get along, his hammy may be not right but Garner has repeatedly told him to shift timber and Barrett likes himself the way he is
Bust ups are regular
Don’t expect to see him back

When he looks back at his life he may will consider leaving Rovers as his biggest mistake
Leaving a team winning and pushin on a bit (albeit ugly) to drop a division Based on geography ......complete lack of ambition
Back to defensive coaching I think

Bury will be in the NW Counties league second division next season.Amazingly the Isle of Man are in too so not sure how that will work. The ref will blow a whistle and men will kick a ball about trying to get it into a net
