I thought that was a very entertaining match played by 2 teams prepared to give it a go. Charlton came for a win and you could see why they're near the top of the table. All the team contributed to the clean sheet, GC has got them all performing as a unit and whenever Charlton got into our box, there was always a body getting between the ball and our goal. I thought Kelly had a very good game; I'd like to see him and THD operating down the left with Sercs in the middle, with JCH and the Jak up front. That would be most interesting. Crying out to see this Kelly is more than adequate and think THD could be a creative outlet on the left Jak was a massive handful when he came on , Charlton would have struggled with both him and JCH all match Nichols didn’t do anything wrong but he’s three stone lighter than Jak it shows |

Sunderland don’t belong here and our three matches against them show perfectly well that we aren’t anywhere near they’re class man v man
Totally agree Sercombe was poor , personally thought he should have come off but I guess with him there’s always the chance of netting a goal
Think Sunderland will go up and GC will be glad to see the back of them !
Fair play to their travelling fans, they’ve got a team they deserve

And that's the worrying thing. What was, and is now, their motive? Look at how much Lansdown loses each year. Perhaps the UWE project looked like a good property investment when they started out. Some owners do it for prestige and/or genuine love of the club (such as Jack Walker at Blackburn, Lansdown or even Dale Vince) but I can't see how that works for a Jordanian bank buying Bristol Rovers. The other motivation is to strip the assets of the club and leave them homeless (such as Brighton many years ago) Pretend I'm a middle eastern banker. Give me a good reason why I would want to own a league 1/2 EFL club whose ground is hemmed in by houses, in a city without huge passion for football, where there is already a club underwritten by a billionaire with money to burn 1. You thought UWE would make you money from non-football streams because you didn't do due-diligence. 2. You need a distraction for your dimmer, football-loving son. 3. It's a good 'in' for networking with UK investors, finance being one of the few things the UK really excels at. Inspires trust and portrays an understanding of British business if it goes well. 4. You thought it might be a laugh and you can bring people along to hospitality. No 4 works , the football is hilarious |

In additon to Steve192 ‘s comment, a friend of mine told me on Monday after the Sunderland game that a close relation of his who is a regular first team player informed him that GC had instructed the players to hoof the ball forward to JCH at every opportunity. The team was divided by this lack of strategy from the manager causing doubt and confusion amongst some of them. If this causes doubt and confusion we are def going down “kick it at the big guy up there “ ”duhhhhhhhh......what?” |

The match day facilities / experience at the MEM are as bad as it gets in Div 1 (Accrington accepted); what WAQ & Hani are up to is a ****ing disgrace; I seem to recall a promise of a new "big screen" being erected at the beginning of the season, what a absolute joke that turned out to be, now none of the old screens are working, I just wish a credible buyer would buy the club. The intention is there the screen is bought just need a frame from someone who will extend 6-8 months credit |
