we need to forget all about a stadium until we have the revenue to afford a stadium. Do we realistically want a 20000 seat bowl with 5000 in it cos we are rebounding between L1 and L2?
Stadia comes from season tickets and tunrnstiles turning. Pasties sold. Drinks and programmes bought. Shirts for the kids.
More people do that if a good standard of football is played
look like knocking on the top six another 1000 turn up. Autos then the Mem is full.
I'm done with dreaming about stadiums cos unless we give the owner the headache of a packed Mem with fans locked out cos we are assaulting the championship, its absolute pie in the sky
we are rag-ass rovers, we don't have a scout or anywhere the entire academy can train together. why are people even bothering to type the S word ffs
we are at least ten years from a stadium and anyone who thinks this is more important than sorting out the current on-pitch debacle and behind the scenes issues needs their head read.

I think the gulf between Garner (never played no managerial experience) then Tisdale (broad management knowledge of L2) and finally JB (played at highest level) tells me that JB will be a good sounding board for Wael to give him an insight into how things should and do get run in the real football world
Wael for all his good intentions (and they are many imo) probably lives in a nice cosy bubble being spoon-fed by "experts" he has brought in and trusted
I will never forget the smug look on Widdringtons face after the Pompey win. the casual, "they are good players, what's the issue" interview. Coming home to roost now tho....
JB and co have arrived and gone "who does this", "who does that", "where is this" "where is that", "why like that" and a million other questions and has most probably been given blanks looks and uncomfortable squirms
JB is a clever unit from the back streets. He will suss pretenders out pretty darn quick and I think he already has and will become more and more vocal about weeding out the issues in the coming weeks
Wael can't not back him, notwithstanding what the beak might say in June to JB, surely even Wael wouldn't reduce us to a laughing stock and present us with our eighth (including caretakers) manager in two years??
I think the sands of time for Widdrington must be running out. JB will have forgotten more connections than TW will ever have had.

I understand you are trying to be positive but if we lose Nichs Annsi MC Leahy etc. How on a much reduced budget will it get better ?. We will lose a lot of grants income and sales . Let's be a bit realistic and look at teams like Bradford Grimsby Southend Notts c . Even so we should still have a budget capable of challenging for a top seven finish. Yeh and with our luck we will be 7th |

Joey is now the 3rd manager that can't get a tune out of these players. None of these players are his. The officiating since Barton has took over has been awful. We lack leadership and a proven goalscorer. The bloke can only work with what he has. We as fans and the board need to back him fully whether we are in L1 or L2 next season. Blaming the tools ... Barton is just trying every strategy to pull some effort and passion from them all
Ehmer has been slung under the bus, that is JBs right as manager and I can’t hear many arguing with his assessment of the performances Ehmer has produced in the quarters
I think the squad voting for captain must be the most pansy slack jawed thing I’ve heard in a while
Sounds like how Ben Garners pat a cake club started off and a few think the club still exists

100 per cent agree that Joseph is an improvement on Tisdale, he will get this club moving in the right direction I do recall you were fervently opposed to Jb have you thawed out ? my point on pressing was that whilst we did press well in parts, it wasn’t sustained enough to be effective like it was was a Charlton pressing well isn’t something you do then don’t do, it has to be constant. And this team doesn’t have the energy to do that unfortunately playing every 3-4 days No still “fervently” opposed to his presence as manager, but sort of just ignoring that and trying to support the team. I think parts of our game are slightly better under Barton than Tisdale, but results haven’t picked up. Which is disappointing. The Plymouth co-commentator made a comment that I thought was pertinent about our pressing, he said we weren’t getting tight enough to Plymouth players, that we were working hard but not doing a good enough job. The application is there, but the teamwork and technique is lacking at the minute. I think you’ve hit the nail on the head parts of our game are better (we play on the front foot ) at times it looks a lot prettier (goals v Accrington ) and we have reduced the amount of shots incoming The next bit of the jigsaw is stringing two wins together, a clean sheet, getting some belief and confidence into the team And ten games to crack the nut |

Ed upson is a good pro, part of a squad, we are weak in his position. Don't blame him, it's not his fault we have no alternative. He certainly didn't look out of place today, I'm not sure I'd have his opposition over him? But I would have a younger fitter version from about the 60th minute. But who do we have to replace him? A midfielder who can pick a pass, defend and shoot Utter horse 💩. Ed Upson is the biggest fraud of a footballer this club has ever employed. Why are people, including management so blinded by him? He can’t pass, short or long range. He’s weak in the tackle, mistimes most of them and gives away senseless territorial free kicks as well as collecting cards like them are stamps. He’s poor in the air and wins nothing aerial wise in middle. He’s no longer a box to box as he doesn’t have the pace in L1 and he doesn’t have the strength or minerals to be a holding midfielder either. On the off chance he does get a shot away from distance, unless it’s a total fluke like Tuesday night, most of them find the top of the tent or halfway between the post and the corner flag. The only consistency Upson has about his game is that he is consistently, utter toilet. Put it this way, Ollie Clarke, Liam Sercombe and Chris Lines would walk into this squad and first team ahead of Upson right now. My mates will swear blind you are me cos I couldn’t put it better myself and have been saying exactly this to anyone that will listen for the entire time Upson has been here he really must not let the door hit his ass on the way out |

No bloody wonder Plymouth beat us.... Their 8 outfield players who played 90 mins covered 10000km.... That basically London to Sydney.... We didn't stand a chance: Exactly that we are playing teams that behave like teams , win or lose together and actually care , Charlton obvious quality aside were 2 down TO US on Tuesday but they dug in and turned us over they point blank wanted it more , end of . muff , same and as soon as our lot saw that they let em roll on end of season I’m sick of em |

We pressed well today ? when ? five mins before they scored and a spell in the last 15 of the second half that’s not pressing well that’s pressing when they were probably urged to do so by a furious manager who could hear us 120 miles miles away moaning they weren’t pressing well everyone but you obvs 🙄 So you ask me when, but then answer for me by stating that there were periods in the game where we pressed well. Nice one. That’s all I was alluding to, there were periods of the game where Barton got us up the pitch to press their defence. Ignoring managers for a minute and focussing on the team, in a lot of our games since Barton has taken charge, our three best players have been Ayunga, Nicholson and Rodman. With the latter two out, we’re realistically going to struggle even more than we had been doing previously. We pressed well today and had good patches but there was no quality in the final third, 20 shots very few of them troubling the opposition keeper, no quality to bring on from the bench to change the game either. That’s the challenge Barton now faces, there’s just not many goals in this side, Leahy won’t score in every game from the wingback position.
