Scunthorpe tickets now on general release. I live in Sussex and ordered mine today. Hopefully it'll be a meaningful game.

What a great night!
Att 2223 - 556 Gasheads
I live about 25 miles away and also support Lewes FC.
Crawley pop 114,000 Lewes pop 17,000
Lewes in tier 7 on Saturday had a crowd of 2347
Crawley in tier 4 on Saturday - 2144 Tues night 2223
And Lewes have to compete for fans with Brighton in the Prem about 7 miles away.
A bit embarrassing for Crawley.

Now that I'm retired in East Sussex I can't get to many games. Nice to have The Gas playing only 20 miles away tonight! Looking forward to the game.

I'm a Gashead living in Sussex. Locally, I support Lewes FC. I am baffled that clubs with players who are full time professionals can't keep them Covid free. Lewes FC players have jobs in addition to football yet the club isn't postponing matches left right and centre. Monday night 1300+ fans crammed into Horsham's small ground and on 1st Jan we'll host Bognor Regis with probably 1500.
If small clubs can do it, why can't the pro clubs?

All before my time and that, but if there is a case to answer then time should be no barrier to justice. We only have to look at Hillsborough on today the 30th anniversary for that. Reading this it sounds like there is a case to answer and if soldier F is innocent then he can put this all behind him when the court finds him so www.bbc.com/news/uk-northern-ireland-47540271I agree, if there is a level playing field. But as it stands the terrorists have immunity from prosecution but the veterans don't. What sort of society are we living in where the terrorists have more rights and protection than veterans. We aren't asking for special treatment, just equal treatment.

Any other ex-forces going up early for the 11am Justice for Veterans march in support of Soldier F at 11am from Horse Guards? I'm going up from Sussex and will be in the The Lord Moon of The Mall, on Whitehall from 9am if you fancy a beer and a chat. INT CORPS beret.

It was a private conversation. They won't talk to fans if they think that anything they say might be made public. That said, there were no earth shattering revelations.

Well, the game was sh**e but I had a pleasant afternoon/early evening in The Green pub on the Uxbridge Road in the company of the parents of Gavin Reilly. I had a Rovers shirt on and they invited me to sit with them. At 4.30pm 'Home Fans Only' signs went up and a bouncer appeared on the door. The manager was very apologetic but asked if I would mind putting on my fleece. He said it was bollocks but a requirement of his drinks licence. I would say that maybe 30 QPR fans used the pub up until 7pm but the bouncers turned away at least double that number. A tip for gasheads - bring a top!
If you're watered at traveling up from Bristol for the game, spare a thought for Gavin's parents who had traveled down from Gretna!

A half time pint would be nice. Where I live I can't get to many games so go and watch Lewes FC. Pub-like bar with real ales on hand pump which is open from 1.30 into the evening. There's something very civilised in carrying a tray of pints along the terrace mid game.

Going up on a lunchtime train from Sussex to Shepherd's Bush, then aim to try four or five CAMRA recommended pubs in Notting Hill. There's supposed to be a really good Indian supermarket next to the Police station near the ground on the Uxbridge Road. SWMBO has given me a list of herbs and spices so if you see a bloke in a Rovers shirt carrying a big bag of spices, that's me. There are no shops like that in Sussex except for Brighton and Crawley which are sh** holes.

Just got mine over the phone.... Gonna go up early and make a day of it Bloke on phone said " it is at the moment pay on the day, but you know what it's like when us gas heads go away in London....." I asked if sales were going well and he laughed.... he said as soon as he put the phone down he was picking it up again! My QPR fan boss is adamant we will have more fans there than them! You mean they answered the phone !!!! I left messages both yesterday and today but no-one has called me. Edit... Kept calling but hanging up before the answering machine kicked in. Got through on about the 10th attempt. Not a good system.

Thursday morning on the Gas website - "Tickets will be available on the evening of the fixture at Loftus Road."
AND, I've just realised that at 62 I can get in for fiver!
I've sent QPR an email query as their website states "The Box Office at QPR does not sell tickets for the visitors section."
Edit: Reply from QPR - "Hi, Us selling tickets for visiting fans is subject to their sales which is why it is advertised online that way. Sales on the day for Bristol Rover fans is subject to availability."
So there will be tickets available, if there are any left.

There are at least 50 different versions online of Irene by many famous singers - just stick Goodnight Irene into Youtube. They could play 2 at every home game and still have some left over at the end of the season.
Glad all Over is awful and Delilah is about a bloke stabbing his bird to death.

Couldn't get down to Bristol yesterday so went and watched Eastbourne Borough v Gloucester City in the 6th tier. Best chips I've ever had at a footy match, piping hot and the club bar is twice the size of the BRSC bar at the Mem, with 4 x TV screens, good choice of beers, plenty of seats and tables. Plus, the huts around the ground serve hot Bovril. If a club in the National League South can do it, surely we can. Okay, there were less than 500 there, but it's just a matter of scale. Professional caterers should have food ready on time and in sufficient quantities.

1975 away to Portsmouth. Me and my mate caught an early train as we didn't want any aggro. I think we were the only Rover fans to get off the train. Met by 50 coppers with dogs. Up against the wall for a search. I wore glasses and in my pocket was my cloth covered, metal spectacle case. One of the coppers pulled it out and decided it was a weapon. Buggers confiscated it. In the history of the world, has a spectacle case ever been used as a weapon?

Not sure I see the point in editing GGMI's post? Not much of a problem having a match thread the day before a game is it? Well said. There's more bickering on here than in my Grandson's school playground. In fact, sometimes I think is forum is populated by schoolkids.

Looking forward to visiting the Bricklayer's Arms again. We were made very welcome last year - a nice locals pub, only ten minutes from the ground, good ales and food, friendly staff and friendly, chatty Wimbledon fans, nice beer garden out the back too.

I've never eaten at the mem , my kids and I have lunch before we leave and have tea when we get home , we can usually cope for a couple of hours without food. Some of us leave home around midday and don't get home until half six. Best part of 6 or 7 hours out the house for a home game. Plenty on here have longer days than that. Reasonable food isn't too much to expect. £3.50 for a sh** pasty is not really on. I can get a lovely pasty at my local bakery for £2. And not everyone lives in Bristol. Leave home at 9, Mem for 1, cheesy chips and a pint, home around 10ish after sitting on Muller Road for an hour.
