Actually expected more of the dominant defender we saw at Plymouth but defensively got a bit of a slowcoach who didn't win much in the air or on the ground!

....bring suggested on Twitter by a reasonably informed journalist (not BEP) - if that's the case then DC must have done CHs lined up to support Tom Lockyer & Jonny Burn.

Management of the EFL is shambolic, Harvey must be in the pocket of the hugely rich Premier League & to think £600k across the EFL makes a real difference is mind blowingly naive.
Harvey out!

More interesting than a lot of topics on here. Sometimes I get all the letters in the right order I'm not usually one to stray dramatically off topic on here but due to the nature of this original post I'll make an exception and join this Cornwall love-in. (nothing else to talk about on here at the moment based on the first page of threads!) My rents live just outside Camelford so I have the pleasure of popping down most months and would say parking up at Daymer Bay, walking along the beach to Rock (Blue Tomato for a cake), ferry over to Padstow for a pasty at The Padstow Pasty Co (as opposed to the one next door which isn't quite as good), a round of Crazy Golf (if it's not shut down yet), couple of Doombar's at the Shipwrights and then back again is the best daytrip in the area! Trebarwith Strand and the Port William Inn is another beach worth visiting in that area, although in the school hol's it gets mental with bloody emmets! More of a Crantock, Holywell, Perranporth man myself but best of all is a trip to the Isles of Scilly where I used to play in the smallest Football League in the world. Garrison Gunners rule ok.

Yes lives in Bristol believe his wife/partner in NHS. A bright lad and I would think just the sort DC would be interested in but at the right price. Exeter will look to sell if Watkins for a crazy price so might not be in a rush to release Wheeler.
I also like Shay McCartan at Accrington

Ellis still has a lot to offer Rovers at L1 level. Not quite sure why there is an Easter love in when his 2+ years have been a real let down & netted just 12 goals yet Ellis is hounded for scoring 32 goals in the last 3 seasons.

If Mr Al Qadi does read this dirge, I hope for his sake he doesn't, but if he does, what do you think he feels about the rubbish being spouted or does he just sit there smiling at the inaccuracies and guesswork being bandied around as fact!

So much guessing and double guessing going on! No one on here knows, only those who need to do - we will find out in due course when the time is right. UTG How do you know that nobody knows? You're just guessing about who's guessing. I don't think it wise to guess about who knows who's guessing and who guesses who knows. It was just a guess!

Left footed 6'4'' Crewe CH Jon Guthrie 24yo 130 games under his belt & born in Devizes is joining a so far unnamed L1 club. Far better bet than Lacey.

Danny Greenslade signed for WSM - both him & Lucas drop into Conference South which answers the questions "why didn't DC give them a chance". Yeah we got a unknown Jordanian youngster to replace him - top signing Danny Greenslade 23yo Jamie Lucas 22yo both been around the first team squad for 3/4 years - the Jordanian lad is 18yo, we don't know how good he is, direct comparison is rather tricky I would suggest but it seems that DC didn't think Greenslade or Lucas would make it whereas the Jordanian lad is being given a chance to show he might.

Ellis still has plenty to offer at this level, that's why DC has offered him another deal.

Correct but that does not mean that development is not permitted but the authorities do have more control. In recent years Hortham Village, a new Quakers Meeting room, a sports ground have all been granted planning permission on this area alone. Topper we were talking about the valuation/cost - I think if you read my post I was saying it's not just Green Belt Farmland - hence the far higher than standard £10k an acre DS are alleged to have paid. Rumours of £1m plus will not be far off the mark, particularly as SGC have already set precedents with recent agreements for significant developments very close to the Colony as Holmes mentions too..

Who are Rinn and Lynch as the land was last owned by a Dublin based developer? Pretty sure this is Green Belt land put in place to stop north Bristol urban sprawl jumping the M4/M5 motorways, apart from sports ground etc the land has virtually no commercial development potential, basically we were probably the only sports club with a bit of money ever like to buy it, hence why Coalpit Heath Juniors had been using it for years. Could be linked to Churngold........the land down Hortham Lane has been used for Housing on the old Hospital site, a huge Jehovas Witnesses Church, a massive Plymouth Brethern meeting house (looks like a warehouse, on the left just before Hortham Farm & at Hortham Farm itself Industrial units & 2 huge Caravan storage areas. Don't believe it's just Geen Belt farmland, it quite simply isn't! Ideal place for a Motorway Service station too!
