This was an obvious ponzi-scheme from the start. There were clearly "brand ambassadors" paid or enticed to go on their club's football forum to peddle it.
JHGas was clearly ours what with at least 50% of his posts being in this thread.

Now that Nichols is gone everyone suddenly wants to pick the first choice striker on goals per minutes played not the magic "most naturally gifted" metric.

I'm still mystified what Barton sees in Hanlan to make him think that we can't play without him in the starting lineup, as he suggested in his pre-match presser. No goals in our last 6 away games suggests he's hardly this season's equivalent to JCH. Barton has somehow got to find a way to start Ayunga on Tuesday, if he feels he can't drop Hanlan then he'll have to go 4-4-2. Although matching Accrington's formation may dictate our own starting line up? The fact he's top scorer?

I'm glad you think this. Your track record on strikers is dogshit so that probably means Hanlan is gold dust.

Beggars belief that any professional footballer would down tools with promotion in sight It does seem unlikely doesn't it? "Hey, lads keep playing like that and you can get a move away for triple the money" "Oh really? Then I'll stop playing as well as I have been to try to make that happen". Doesn't make sense.

Gasheads remember Nigel Pierre that season he had 2 go back home that season he was refused a work permit that was a class squad Jason Roberts Cureton Ellington Vitas Mark Walters I could go on Went on to score 22 goals in 58 international appearances for Trinidad & Tobago. Alex Ferguson offered references at his Work Permit appeal. That squad had a sort of Caribbean core to it. Very apt for a Bristol side.

"...Peter Beadle, now representing Bristol City, came to their training ground one day in the spring, and was found by Holloway in the kit room deep in discussion with both Cureton and Roberts. Beadle was talking about his new contract at City. He was earning good money at Rovers’ rivals, much more than what Rovers were paying their own two strikers. Holloway lost his temper, promptly kicking Beadle out of the training ground" Beadle was one of my favourite players I even had his name on the back of my Rovers tesco bag shirt, yet this quote from Olly, coupled with the fact he celebrated scoring against us for City82, made me lose any love/respect for the guy. Yeah he had a weird loyalty for City, a club whose fans rushed him on the pitch at the end of that derby game at Ashton Gate where the Sh1!heads came into the away enclosure via the exit. January 96 maybe?

Hardly surprising he talks about Fleetwood when hes directly asked about previous encounters with the Hull management or the opposition. If he had been our Manager when we faced them at the Mem no doubt he would have referred to that but with only three games in charge he has very limited references!! The question was about issues between them in the past, not the score of every encounter over the last three seasons and a breakdown of the team he put out in the FA Cup. It's the same in every interview he does. It's not relevant and it's not interesting.

Wish he'd stop talking about Fleetwood in interviews.

For me it’s: Salmon Haddock Plaice Cod Herring Mackerel Sardines Bass Tuna Pollock Interesting. I'd have said Anssi Jaakkola Kimi Raikonnen Mika Hakkinen Valteri Botas Keke Rosberg Erm ... who else? Bjork? No she's Icelandic ... dunno. Have to settle for top 5 then.

Seriously you guys need to learn about superstition - a Match Day Thread started the day before the match day ... it's so obviously bad luck it's not even worth explaining!

Err ... did you ever think that if those clubs hadn't paid for those grounds they had to abandon they might still exist? true but some moved on to bigger and better mind. Darlington and Boston Utd are always the two that spring to my mind.

Turkish Delight? Proof, if it were needed, you're an absolute wrong 'un. What do you have against the Turks? They have a very strange idea of what is delightful.

Days a keeper, a good old kick in the face shouldnt stop him unless theres a break! Call me old fashioned. ELF concussion rules...he and the club have no choice in the matter. A bang on the head is easily done in Lapland I suppose. Little doorways.

For crying out loud, how hard can it be?
Did we win the last game? ----> yes ----> Did you start the match day thread for the last game ----> No -----> Then don't start this one FFS!

Bit silly considering he's not set the world alight in the 10 games he's managed to stay fit for. being in the limelight is always likely to attract negative reactions when things aren't going to well. Sorry, what's silly? Why is " " silly? It could be interpreted in any context, irony, laughing along with a mate, anything. I honestly can't see any way that his reply tweet can be seen in a negative light? You know the Rovers fanbase by now - THERE MUST BE A BAD GUY!

These don't seem to make it to the YouTube channel for some reason: I wonder why they had to do these interviews during the evacuation of Saigon?
