First England game is at 5am over here. Will get up to watch and then got to fly from Melbourne to Los Angeles with my daughter straight after. Hopefully I'll be celebrating the entire 15 hour flight! Sadly daughter supports Australia rather than England. But hey, you can't force good choices on people can you, they need to work it out themselves I suppose. Hopefully she'll see sense as she matures! You can force adoption. Certainly not out of the question.

Recently listened to the previous two episodes and very much enjoyed them lads. Makes great listening on the long drives we often have to do over here in Australia. Was shouting at my car radio telling those noisy pricks in the Sporty to keep it down while you were trying to do the pod on the last episode..
But seriously, love the way you go about these and enjoy the humour in the face of what must be pretty difficult to get excited about this season. Will listen to this one next time I'm in the car. Keep it up... and UP THE GAS!

Absolutely anything. All fart and no sh** that bloke. Sums it up that he's only sold up to someone that'll preserve his little Waelter Mitty fantasy as President. Such as? I don't really understand why there is such hatred of him and TG on a personal level. Disagreeing on and critiquing what they do is one thing, but some of the comments from different posters is crossing a line for me. Totally agree with this. Been thinking this for a while to be honest. If an argument is sufficiently robust then you really don't need to call people schoolyard names.

I feel it's your duty to post again on here tonight. Just so we know you made it out alive.

He's made plenty of mistakes but I feel like some things are out of his direct control!

It's pretty hard for him to win here really. He takes the time to engage with the fanbase and answer fan queries at all hours and gets criticised for not delegating. If it were the other way round he'd be smashed for being inaccessible and hiding away from the blowtorch of fan engagement. This has to be one of the oddest criticisms I've ever heard to be honest.

New poster with highly generic rovers-related moniker backs hapless manager following nightmare goal-less run. Hard to imagine what the reason for that could be!

MT strongly hinting (in fact pretty much openly stating) that some untoward things have been going on behind the scenes. Says these will come to light at the end of the season. That's from the last part of his Cheltenham pre-game interview. Clearly wants to say something but not allowed to yet. What a shitshow this is now.

It's hard to understand how it can get this bad. Even if players are out of contract and leaving at season's end it does them no favours at all to be linked with this absolute shower of a run of form. Who would want to offer a contract to a player who was part of this? Surely you'd want to play well and show any potential new employer you were worth employing?? Baffling.
And from the manager's perspective I think we all understand that some players were very much Joey's players. But the manager's job is to deal with this stuff and get the players to perform at or near their best. We are spiraling so quickly out of control you simply have to question his management skills. What happens when one of 'his players' that he brings in gets the hump at some point next season - does he have the skills to deal with that? Hard to imagine based on his work to date.
It's sickening to throw good money after bad but surely he has to go. I think the fans would have accepted some bad results but we are literally spiraling. Don't want to even think about the potential Matty Taylor scenario...

My first games were at Twerton and Keith really was brilliant. You'd never get away with it now but he really livened up the matches, what a character. He talked the talk but he also walked the walk and went in the away end and took banter from the away fans. Legendary status.

He's got to go. Can't afford to let him waste another off season.
And GGMI can go with him. If you're not interested in Rovers then show some respect to those who are.

What a great article that is. Lots of good memories. Amazing how little it has changed - we must have infected Twerton with the Rovers stagnant infrastructure curse when we were there though!
I was just a schoolkid but amazingly I never realised how deprived Twerton was - and I used to walk through the houses from Oldfield Park station to the ground every other Saturday as well. We did once have our car radio nicked on the rare occasion when my dad took me and we parked on Lower Bristol Road though. Smashed window, cold ride home to Burrington. I'm sure we weren't the only ones that happened to.
Good luck to Bath City.

If they replace the east stand with something that has pillars it really will be time to get the pitchforks out! But given the available space at the tent end what we've got now is probably not a bad result. I'm sure I'm not the only one hoping that in a few years time we'll look at the south stand as the worst stand at the Mem by some margin (again). We can only hope.

So the plateau of loose material has been in place for over 100 years, presumably compacting all this time, but we should suddenly become concerned about it now...

Imagine the bandwagon if Ollie got the job and won his first five games... Groundbreaking!
Realistically it could only ever end badly - but the same could be said of any manager as nothing ever lasts forever in management. You've just got to hope the bit in between the start and the finish is worth the pain.

Didn’t Cotterill call us Rag-Arse Rovers in a post match interview? He can f*ck right off. You are correct. On both counts.

The Thatchers End to be made bigger, all safe standing with a cantilevered roof, surely. The great wall of Horfield.
