Did he get anyone better in? He didn’t get in anyone worse There were at least 6 on the pitch yesterday.

Hope. He's given hope to teams like Tranmere, that they can finish above Rovers.

Get warnock In for the 12 games he wants for his 1500 just to get things back to shape until the season finishes. Only 11 games left, if Warnock wants 12 he could guide Tranmere to safety. Warnock went to Rotherham with 16 games left, they won 6 and drew 6

Think we're safe? after watching that shambles I do not believe there are any games left this season Rovers, with Garner in charge can win.

Classic game it won't be. Two sides, low in confidence and poor in terms of current performance. It should be a comfortable home win but we haven't seen one of those for quite a while. I'll take Rovers to win (just) by 1 goal. Although, with the way things are going I'd settle for another point. Agree with all of this apart from the settling with a point. With Sunderland, Ipswich & Peterborough coming up we have to win this game otherwise we'll have to wait another month to have a chance to win at home. If Ben wants to be here next season then he has to pick up points against Shrewsbury, Southend & Rochdale A point each from those three may be enough to keep Rovers up, but if that is all it takes to keep BG in a job they won't sell a season ticket.

Teams do always pick up towards the end of the season tbf, but that would have to be pretty spectacular. If we were a couple of places above with the points difference I would be more worried, but there are a lot of teams between us. Still, I can see us finishing 16th-18th by the end of the season. March is nearly all 6 pointers for Tranmere, none of them look any harder than Shrewsbury.

My memory of Paul Tait was him being utter useless. However I've just checked his stats and he actually got 12 goals in 33 appearances in the 03/04 season. Turns out he was an absolute goal machine in comparison to Tommy Nichols. Paul Tait was a whole hearted player and he would make my 110% Rovers team.

Obviously some bad blood between Sunderland and Coventry. Why? I thought Coventry are a useful team. We've not beaten them once in 4 efforts this season. I'm not expecting a thrashing on Saturday but it will be a tough game. It goes back to the 80’s Last match of the season we were at Everton and Bristol City were at Coventry, the only combination of results which would put us down was a defeat for us and a draw at Coventry. A draw for us and whoever lost at Coventry went down. Somehow Coventry never expected to have a big crowd for this game and didn’t open all of the turnstiles, resulting in large numbers outside the ground just before kick off and for safety reasons they delayed the match for 20 minutes. At full time at Everton when we had lost by one goal, the score was flashed up at Coventry, who were two goals up, they stopped playing gifted Bristol City two goals and the last 15 minutes was spent with the ball being passed to the other team on the halfway line. To say that there is bad blood in an understatement. Coventry get most of the blame, but your neighbours are also disliked as a result. Alan Dicks the City manager had been assistant manger under Jimmy Hill Coventry manager, just saying.

I think BG would give Alfie Kilgour a 9, probably saved his job. Any one remember Lee Martin, played for Rovers, scored a similar goal for Man U at Wembley which saved Alec Ferguson's career.

It cant be much of a storm if it's called Dennis... Hopefully it will be Storm Holmes-Dennis down the wing tomorrow. He was blowing pretty hard in the second half against Coventry.

Anyone remember Ijah Anderson, had his contract cancelled by Rovers, went to Swansea where he was sacked after failing a drug test.

Worst manager in our history. Bit early to say that Yeah, Terry Cooper went 15 League games and 1 Glos derby before winning his first game as manager.

Tranmeres pitch looks like a ploughed field, BG’s tippy tappy football will do us no favours here. That's worse than Eastville in the 60s.
