Just as well Rollin turned down GC.

I must say I am bit unsure why more of the new players are not starting games. What did we bring in 7, I would like to see them all on the pitch at the same time.. and keep any of the "leaders" in the mix too. There are a few players that haven't performed all season, some that haven't been great since BG came in.. don't see why we can't go with the new players to start at Tranmere personally. Prenton Park is a mudheap, the new signings are not up to L1 fitness and won't last 45 minutes on it. Come to that the energy level of the whole team has dropped since GC left. You need pace and effort in L1.

Tuesday is the biggest game since Dagenham & Redbridge. It's the worst pitch I've seen. The fittest team will win.

Fair enough, I'm the opposite & didn't see the Coventry game The referee today was truly dreadful, so many missed and wrong decisions. He was biased without doubt in my opinion. The referee against Coventry was even worse and ranks amongst the worst I've ever seen. How has it got so bad? Perhaps last Mondays "Inside No 9" was more fact than fiction.

Blackman 6 Their keeper was better
Davies 5.5 Needs a couple more games to get back to form Craig 7 Still reliable Kilgour 7 Effective where ever he plays
Rodman 6 OK first 30 mins but when forced back to defend the game plan was screwed Clarke 5.5 Some as Davies Upson 6 Ref did for him Holmes-Dennis 5 30 minute man
Ginnelly 6 Looked good then isolated Mitchell-Lawson 6 " " " "
Clarke-Harris 7 Got the goal touch back
Subs: Barrett 5 Unfit Ogogo 6 Ref did for him Reilly NOLE or looked like it
Crowd 6 I suppose signings gave some hope Ref 2 worst I've seen Coventry 7 Fitter than Rovers
Garner 5 Started with a formation that worked but it ran out of steam, Bad luck for him, if it could have made it to halftime he could have gone back to basics and scraped a draw.

Simples, why sell the land for a developer to make millions , on saturday was looking at the size of it, a block of 6 houses with 4 terraced and 2 semis on the end would sell easily for 1.4 million a block, add some low level blocks of flats and we could have a stadium with no debt, purpose built on south Glos land. We could go to Bath for a couple of seasons, otherwise think we might end up like Cov if we rent the FM. What does everyone think? We couldn't go back to Twerton Park because they are getting a 3G pitch. Perhaps Bath could be sponsored by Huawei and get a 5G pitch.

Maybe another Trollope Lawrence situation, I think it would be good for BG to get advice from someone with the exact opposite philosophy on the way football should be played, a healthy dose of pragmatism to go along with the idealism and vision might be a potent mix. Having apportioned BG as manager you can't suddenly bring in a DoF unless BG agrees, which seems v. unlikely otherwise it's classed constructive dismissal Rovers did it with Dennis Rofe (Malcolm Allison) the sheeds did it with John Ward ( Benny Lenartsson) Neither of them agreed, didn't work though.

A mentor for Ben would be great, it is a big step from coach to manager and the role throws up all kinds of different challenges, 20/30 individuals all with different personalities, only got to look at us lot on here to highlight that fact!, Pulis would be great but not possible, Trolls and Lenny one of the best pairing we ever had and Lenny was under valued at the time, trying to think of suitable candidate, always liked John Ward as a person , yes i know it ended badly for him but that was on field, off field thought he was very level headed and had the right personality for such a roll, settle down now ,just a thought!! John Ward Benny Lennartsson ( that was amazing )

Apart from Garners no-show after the poor-show yesterday I can't find his pre-match interview. Did he do one?

In his pre-match interview, the only thing he said that wasn't out of the standard quote and platitude book was that he would go for a pint after the game with his mate Darren Moore. That's why he didn't do the interview.

Not sure who it was of the coaching staff but they were stood in front of Garner shouting at the players, that reminded me that Rofe did the same to Martin Dobson.

I've just back, I was at the south end of the west enclosure, I wish I'd taken a pair of binoculars the game was so far away first half. I don't know what Garners instructions were, but Rodman hardly got past the halfway line for the first 30 minutes. It's good job Donny decided to showboat or Rovers would have been in trouble. I think the players themselves decided to change it, there didn't seem much instruction coming from the bench and the last ten minutes were better. They must have gotten a big a bollicking from Garner as he could muster for that, and they started the same way second half. Can't really fault players effort, pity Garner can't show any. Got to say he looks like a poor mans John Ward.

To be successful you have to play to your strengths unless you’ve got the best team in the league , then you can change things around and still win most matches. Our squad is built around playing direct down the middle it’s going to take time and transfers to turn our squad in to an attractive passing team and I’m not convinced we’ll ever win promotion to the championship playing that way anyway. To play Garners style we need the kind of players who always look like thayve got that extra second of time on the ball , can turn quick and attack with pace , can pass well , have good vision etc. Sercombe is the only player in our midfield and attack who ticks those boxes and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he’s played alright since Garners arrived where as pretty much everyone else has struggled. So would Garner have kept Chris Lines?

Do not be quick to write this guy off, he certainly has a clarity of thought and knows the weaknesses. It's the strengths he needs to know and play to them. With Rovers that has been spirit and determination. I think the players were a bit scared of GC and the dressing room would have been pumped up after his talks.
