Its encouraging to read that BG has been watching this lad for some 18 months and that TW and his staff have been monitoring him as well. It seems they are singing off the same hymn sheet which can only be good news. Perhaps our days of signing ageing journeymen in search of the last pay cheque are finally over. Like Tony Craig. Wouldn't mind a few more like him.

That's always the big worry they'll actually appoint a decent manager one day! Like Holloway

Payne started today, Tranmere 3-0 down to Watford when he is hauled off at halftime. It has the desired affect, they come back to earn a replay.

Be interesting to see what happens today as its Holloway v Coughlan.... It seems the manager who rejected Rovers, has lost to the manger who Rovers neglected to call.

They are lucky to be in the hat. Shrewsbury were very impressive second half and deserved to go through. No wins in 7 now I believe? 5 losses, a draw & a win. Wonderful stuff. No wins in 7 despite having 1 win in that time? Blimey I can see why their fans are getting on his back! His grasp of figures when "it all adds up" is also vague in believing that Shrews had a ten day rest since the 29th Dec

Deon Moore playing at Bath Sat for Billericay but don't think he's set the world alight sadly. An opportunity for BG to watch him. Of course Bath was too far to go when Bobby Zamora was there.

3rd league 1 Av gate 8,673 No news on anything All food now in dispensers dotted around the tents. Saves on staffing costs Garner just departed blaming owners lack of cones and bibs for training sessions, taking over at Bromley who ‘have vision and infrastructure Rovers can only dream of’ Me still going despite 30 years of above. I thought DC took the cones with him because The Beard and James Clark were the only players who used them when coming out for the second half. And what ever happened to the guy who laid them out, it was precision work.

What's he going to do. Two games in 4 days where he probably doesn't know the players names. Of course he could have them in Xmas day to explain the way he wants them to play. If he does that, we know we've got a boat rocker. But if he sits quiet in the dugout and lets Maher get on with it until next week, then a cup game where he can try his system if any. The teams playing well, it's hearts and minds needs to be his first win.

After that whole hearted and quality performance I would suggest they don't waste money on a rock the boat manager, but carry on with Maher, and use GCs and Dunnes wages to fund a quality loan in January. If we can get Bennett out then that would free up the reported £4000 a week that he’s on, if that figure is true we could hopefully bring in 2 or 3 loans for that sort of money. No one's going to pay more than £1k for Bennett, GC and Dunne's wages will save, guess, £6K. Now if the club were to bring some one like McGeady in that would show real commitment and put a thousand on the gate £150K. I reckon that's about £12K a week to spend

"So Mr Lansdown, if I take the job at Rovers how will it affect Lee's job." Well Johnson, has long as no one ever speaks of them anymore, you will both have a job for life.

Can't see it being Mansell or Hargreaves or else one of them would have been in charge tonight. Any one with a decent track record isn't going to risk it. GC got the best out of the current squad, and improving or even maintaining the same would be difficult without £500k in January. So it's Tucker. To look on the bright side, with only 44 games and 3 going down I reckon Rovers only need 12 more points to stay up.

An emotional interview Just heard this in Radio Bristol and it would be a disaster if he left ......”it’s a personal and a footballing decision he says he is needing to talk it over with his family!” Maybe he needs the board to show some real support in terms of backing him in the transfer market. He Lives up north and maybe that’s taking its toll in terms of where he is based Very worrying in my view. Some fans who have not backed him maybe will get what they wished for!!!! Mr Holloway ......get ready just in case the worst happens 👍 there are no other to step up in my view. "Ollie" So how much you going to support me if I take the job.
