Just got back..
Brrrrrr snowy n bris!
A lovely low sun and chill make the Mem lit up differently in these late autumn/winter months. A few faces missing though...
Respect for DC.
I think he handled it honourably.
His team though - timewasting on 11 mins when they had the initiative? He certainly didn't set us up like that back in the day? Timewasting and gamesmanship.
The ref spoke to the goalkeeper so many times it made contributory to the role and negated everything... it's like telling that naughty dog not to do something, and dog just doing what it wants and getting away with it multiple times..
Talking about getting away with it.....how many times was Coburn manhandled, shirt pulled, arm pulled without redress? Credit to him for his temperament to not retaliate, but the long haired mongrel got a flick of the v's from me for blatant cheating on his substitution.. T0sser!
I took it back with Aaza goal (excellent finish from someone whom ran himself ragged) as blatant push in back to win the ball and then go on and score left matey sat in his own sh!t complaining no foul had been given like a baby had pooped his nappy....yea, welcome to our world, you weak sod....at least the ref was awful on both sides!
I thought Rossiter ran and tried but sometimes his last pass was left wanting.
Coutts steadied the ship but sometimes gave ball away.
Gordon done his best to get forward and present options - still not sure about him - well done for trying, it's something he's obviously worked on... but his left sided support defender, Gibson played a blinder.
Gibbons - still not sure about.
Thommo my m o m.
We look a balanced well organised set up, everyone knows their role and off ball protocol.
But.... I get possession based football, but when you're at home and in front of a big crowd and on possession, inside and back is quickest way to nullify our own atmosphere.....I think many would like us to try - at least once - play outside and forward with pace..
Credit to pv for coming out the traps and creating a few half chances they didn't capitalise on. With better finishing, it might have been a different story. And on a different day, they would have gone home with a draw.
Fine margins and all that ...
Excellent firm finish from Aaza, and if you see his goal celebration, Coburn celebrates with his strike partner as much as anyone by jumping on Marquis (whom appears less than chuffed with it?) so bomb him out asap and I think we've got a team spirit and quality to be reckoned with when the weather gets better....
Well done, JAB, we passed the test of competing with our promotion compardres!
