If he was on a longer contract in today's market I'd say around £3mil-£4mil, possibly even a bit more. He's a match winner and players with his skill and ability at this level are a rarity. Even on his current deal I wouldn't want to accept anything less than £1.5mil, although I'd rather keep him and see where he/the team can take us.

Got to be the most sought after player in league one. Will be shocked if nobody comes in for him this week in all honesty.Start the bidding at £2 mil but will be just as big a loss as Matty T for me.

In all likelihood, the interested clubs will let him stay with us this year, let their interest be known to unsettle him and start on a pre contract agreement in January, when it becomes apparent he won't sign a new contract with us. This would mean he would leave the club for absoulutely nothing next summer.
I would like to think he would sign a new contract so we could sell him for a fair bit of money but as Taylor showed us there is not a lot of loyalty in modern football.

I think we'd rather let him go for free than cheap tbh, especially after Matty T.

We should do all we can to hang on to him all season, see where he can take us. Whatever we get for him we can't afford an adequate replacement so better make the most of him while we can. Sadly however I strongly suspect he will be off for an undisclosed fee this week!

Answer to OP , as much as another club is prepared to offer and we are willing to accept.

Has anyone actually made a bid or expressed an interest in him?

Bodin owes his success to BRFC and DC ~ he will stay

How can we progress or get to the championship if we can't keep hold of our best players? We will always languish in Leauge one or below.

Rovers will never be able to progress if we keep selling our best players like we did before Wael and with Taylor. We've done very well to keep Brown, DC and Lockyer. I'd prefer to keep Bodin over 3 new signings. Very important time for the club!

sadly no-one will bid over £500,000-ish for him because there hasn't been much hype over him and he isn't some ex-child prodigy / ex-PL academy product / has funny hair or a funny name. Bonkers but true. Higher clubs still have so much money and so little real analysis of the lower divisions that they do often pay over the odds for hyped up players and miss far cheaper prospects.
Football is a funny old game. Some players go for more than their longer-term ability/prospects shows would be a fair figure (Marcus browning, Gareth Taylor-maybe, Will Hoskins, snake) and others go for far less than they really 'should' have been (cureton, lambo, yates, carayol). I think that's why Gasheads could just about handle martyn, roberts, hayles etc leaving because of the high amounts (fair-ish amounts...) they went for.

If he's not interested in signing a new contract the best option might be sell him now but on the proviso he stays 'on loan' with us this season. best of both worlds. As good as Bodinho is 1 more season in Lge 1 would still be a good learning option for him.
