If he will not sign a new contract don't play him. out of the team for 12 months may change his mind But he hasnt done anything wrong? The club offered him a 2 year deal and so far he has been outstanding for us during that deal. If he won't commit to the club then don't play him

If he won't commit to the club then don't play him In the real world we would take a good offer for him now or a reduced offer in january. Its possible he will sign a new deal after the deadline on august 31st which would solve the problem. Paying his salary of maybe 2.5 k a week until june and not playing him isnt a great option.

If he won't commit to the club then don't play him He has committed. He signed a contract until the end of this season. Quite right, no need to panick yet he's still our player and let's hope he's still is on Friday morning! The main worry is if he's goes on the last day we have no time to replace someone who at the moment is irreplaceable!

Agreed that's the nightmare scenario... if he goes we need times to replace him and sort out the other flank with the money as well. Just hope he signs an extension soon, ideally now but certainly needs to be sorted before the January window.

I can't imagine anyone bidding enough for us to sell him right now. January could be another question.

Just sign an extension on the agreement that a suitable bid is made he can go. Every player has a price. If he had more than 12 months he's got to be valued at 1-1.5mil surely.

If Bodin goes make Newport an offer for Nouble, he's on fire for them, can't believe he's playing at that level!

If Bodin goes make Newport an offer for Nouble, he's on fire for them, can't believe he's playing at that level! Doubt he'll leave there when he only signed this Summer. He's not exactly set the world alight at League One before tbf. Only signed a one year deal though so if he scores 20+ this season then he may be an option on a free next year.

We just have to wait & see don't we ? What I don't get is the money being spent of development players yet bills not paid. It just doesn't make sense. Bodin has been superb but it's a mercenary game and surely no one could blame him IF he got a good offer ? Let's just hope we have a back up plan if that becomes the case. It seems we've not been great at having a plan B. I hear landing lights are on though LOL

I've heard DC mention a couple of times in his interviews that if a player decides they no longer want to be at the club, they're as good as gone. If BB wants to force a move then we may have to sell him. It's seems he's attracted more interest than Taylor too.

sadly no-one will bid over £500,000-ish for him because there hasn't been much hype over him and he isn't some ex-child prodigy / ex-PL academy product / has funny hair or a funny name. Bonkers but true. Higher clubs still have so much money and so little real analysis of the lower divisions that they do often pay over the odds for hyped up players and miss far cheaper prospects. Football is a funny old game. Some players go for more than their longer-term ability/prospects shows would be a fair figure (Marcus browning, Gareth Taylor-maybe, Will Hoskins, snake) and others go for far less than they really 'should' have been (cureton, lambo, yates, carayol). I think that's why Gasheads could just about handle martyn, roberts, hayles etc leaving because of the high amounts (fair-ish amounts...) they went for. doesnt matter if we got £5 or £5m it wouldn't be spent on the team I asked Bradshaw on the Copenhagen tour years ago what happened to Roberts money he said oh we had overheads to pay etc They are full of sh**e and don't give a sh** about the supporters,I hope wael is different Overall club debts are around £10m, money written off on the, now failed, UWE Stadium was £2.5m alone so it's unfortunately hardly "sh**e"? If we were making annual profits every season then it would be "sh**e". That's why keeping our best players is usually always preferable for the fans.
