Probably the worst game I've seen us play for ages. That first half Blackpool should have been out of site. Every player were off their game, we didn't have any height, think Lines was our tallest player till Sweeney came on. A very lucky 3 points IMO!

Is this a wind up? Although they shaded the first half we generally dominated the 2nd half.

Thought we did alright personally. Sure there were some moments you'd shake your head but there was some good passing play and chances

Going into HT at 1-1 after how poor we were had a massive bearing on the result.

We won because we played better than them and scored 2 more goals than they did.

Huh? We were the better side bar 15 - 20 mins in the first half. I'd have been very disappointed if we hadn't manage to shade a win.

How the hell did we win that, with that ref would be a better comment.

Funny how you see games differently. I thought this was one of most emphatic wins we've had for a while.

Apart from their goal Blackpool were no threat at all. We totally controlled the second half.

It looked "iffy" for the first 30 minutes then we were fine. Blackpool were very fast on the break with wingers and wing backs but once we had worked them out the game was slightly in Rovers favour.
The half-time substitutions tightened things up, my only query being why Nicholls was replaced as he seemed to be holding the ball up better than the other forwards- but saying that we scored twice more after he left the pitch!

A very lucky 3 points IMO! 1st half totally agree, the second half was well deserved 2 1 would've been fair Where the hell has Ollie Clarke gone? It's like playing with a man down he's become so lazy, missed sercombe the first half ,I would drop Clarke for Pompey and get the beard back

First half was even pretty much. Second half we were a cut above. I don't consider us lucky at all, lots of possession without the cutting edge until the last 10 mins. Blackpool haven't conceded many so far this year and you could see why, took a bit of breaking down. .
Ellis was excellent today.

Blackpool were good on the ball as you would expect given their record so far this season and for half an hour in the first half they looked the better side heaving said that we should have been been level long before Billy equalised The second half we were stronger despite the ref giving them everything we were in control for large parts and we got in front at the right time then managed the game well though Telford looked a class act when he came on UTG

How did win that ? You are talking about the Walsall game , aren't you ?
We won today by running, moving. We put them under more and more pressure by charging after them. Then when we had the ball we moved for each other to give passing options - something missing from Oldham and Posh games. It took a while to take control today, but we got there in the end.
The ref was crap.

I thought Telford was different class when he came on. The defence didn't know to handle him and the way he turned his defender for his run and shot on goal was quality.
His shot was goal bound but took a deflection for a corner that the defender knew nothing about. It was from the following passage of play that Sween - Dog got his goal.
That meant a lot to him because he really celebrated with the fans in the East enclosure. I'm surprised that twat of a ref didn't book him for that, he didn't need any encouragement to book any of our players for the least little thing.
Fool.

First half things didn't go for us and we looked off the pace. Very lucky to go in at 1-1, although that said our goal was really well worked by Moore and Lines and well finished by Bodin. We looked tired and lacklustre in the first 45. Sercombe coming on livened up the midfield and the whole side seemed to benefit from his presence. I thought we pretty much dominated the second half and deserved the 3 points. My motm was Lines. Ref had a shocker, he looked gutted when Sweeney scored!

I thought we were very poor for 30 minutes but much better as the game wore on and 3 clinical finishes meant a deserved win.

I agree with you about Telford, he looked a good when he came on, but I actually thought the defender did well to get his head on the goal bound shot. I'll have to give it a second viewing, but looked like good defending at the time. Certainly agree about the ref though, I thought he was poor.
