Looks a better player than James did last season but he needs a goal so badly.

Nichols is crap. The weakest striker I have seen for a long time. If you are a weak player you have to be quick and he most certainly isn't.

Sounds like he was unlucky today.
With James there were occasions when he just wouldn't get into positions to score, his confidence was so low. That's not the case with Nichols. He'll come good like many strikers before him who've taken time to adjust after a move.

They are taken from the weather centre. Taylor had a crap goals/ chances success rate. But at least he got in to goalscoring positions. Today was the first time that Nichols had got in to a goalscoring position and he blew it ala Matteee Tee.

Maybe a confidence thing but I'm not sure about him. He looks too lightweight and couldn't get his goal today. I would like to see Telford get more of a chance. I don't really see Nichols having much more impact than Luke James so far.

Nichols still can't score against the worse team in the division when they are down to 10 men.
That's not unlucky.

Nichols will come good you mark my words here, because fans saw Roberts and the snake start slowly he is going to be a great striker a little more patience.

Nichols will come good you mark my words here, because fans saw Roberts and the snake start slowly he is going to be a great striker a little more patience. He seemed more direct today and looked more like scoring than other games he hit the post do not far off. His ball control and movement are good and he strikes the ball well. The potential for him to be a good forward for us is definitely there, it's still early days , I didn't write Luke James off after 10 appearances and I don't right Nichols off yet either but obviously the quicker he gets that first goal the better. Good move to have him on the bench today though, when Rory plays particularly at home he's a hell of a handful and showed that today with a goal and assist. Can't help thinking if Rory had started every game when fit we'd be sbout 6 points better off than we are but having my spent most of our transfer funds on TN he was always going to get plenty of chances.

If you add James and Nichols together, isn't it something like 60 games without a goal from the two strikers we got from Peterborough. They must be pi55ing themselves.

I think tom nichols is a very talented player, great 1st touch and technique, quick and tricky with a decent but not outstanding career goal record. Strikers often score in clusters and im backing him to get at least 10 goals this season. Hes a typical dc player in that hes a team player, play on the left in a 4-3-3 and though it dosnt suit him he will just get on with it and do his best. I might be wrong but i think we played with a midfield diamond of 4 players today with bodin at the front and lines the rear which will suit tom nichols more if he gets a start with that system.

Berahino and Andy Carroll yet to score and they cost millions, Nichols is suffering from the lack of wingers so DC has not helped his cause.

I thought he looked OK yesterday and good to see DC took my advice this week and brought Nichols on to run at a tiring defence rather than start him!!

thought he did well yesterday when he came on. hit. Keeper made decent save against one shot and he hit the post.
sure it will come for him. but agree with another. we me a another wide player desperately. I'd rather see sercombe in the middle.

Yeah, that's some serious bad luck he's got.
