Seems fairly clear from the Post that Bodin would like to stay. He feels loved here. He obviously doesn't address what the offer is but DC says that contract negotiations have been going on for almost a year (contradicting Hamer) and strongly suggests that our offer to Bodin is nowhere near what he's worth. All players say they love their current club.....until another club offers to double their wages. And I don't mind that. None of us would turn down the opportunity to earn twice as much doing the same job. It's true what you say, but the fact that it comes on the same day as DC's quote about us not paying enough for our level is no coincidence.

Agree with this but we can only pay what we can pay ~ our best players will be offered higher wages from richer clubs sadly

BB seems to go further than that and suggests a deals almost done, although if I was him I'd look at the bigger picture come January, will DC be given a decent budget so we can aim for the top 10 rather than get drawn into a relegation battle this season.

The fact he hasn't signed says he is waiting for the auction to begin, why would he bother signing now. Whilst I'd love him to stay, the realist in me is saying we should just hope he goes for a tidy sum quickly enough for us to reinvest at least some of the proceeds. But even if we can't spend it, it will at least help keep our head above water and may actually persuade our owners it is worth investing in young talent
