Quite honestly if that's all Wael has to say he might as well not bother. There was not one insightful comment in the whole interview. I cannot believe he thinks that's acceptable. Surely he should know how long, roughly, it will take to progress matters. I'm sure he won't be giving the consultants a blank cheque! Simply appalling. If you watched it then you could have left most your post out. He won't give a time length because there are many reasons as to why it could be delayed - and not be delivered in the time specified. He won't be giving them a blank cheque, as he mentioned, he's gave them a budget to work within.

Thank heavens, at last, for that. Wael is a nice and kind man and his interview was reassuring and positive. He's in it for the long haul. At least there'll be a proper pot to water in next year. Onward and upwards! you are funny!

Went to the club shop today to buy a full away kit for HTY for Xmas. No shorts, no socks. Was told no more will be in stock.
Very disappointed. Will be buying him a Liverpool kit instead. Gutted.

Interesting that the club shop will be moving elsewhere on site. I see that as the first indication that things will start moving forward. Could be the first indication of the demolition of the east stand to come in the next year or so.
The colony stuff was cleared up. Overal planning for the site in its final state but implementation of that is as needed.
Positive answers although "it all takes time" was getting repetitive haha. Timescales...he could have said within three years BUT that has to be flexible due to circumstances.

Glad Wael gave the interview, he has been fairly consistent since day 1 with his evolution not revolution statements, sadly large projects take time and we will all just have to be patient, I've been waiting for us to have a decent ground since we left Eastville so I can live with a few more years, let's all get behind the team and help them turn it around. Insulting interview, complete contempt for the fanbase, we are being taken for idiots. Go now please. How does apologising show contempt? By definition surely thats the opposite? Simply- you're not being fair. Out of interest what could he of said to make you happy? I suggest, not a lot, which to me suggests you are illustrating contempt.

It’ll be telling if the new shop is a proper construction or another shipping crate. Given lack of planning permission so far it points at the latter. You wouldn’t build a proper club shop if you were planing on flattering it 24 months later. Plenty of retail space about without having to build your own

Insulting interview, complete contempt for the fanbase, we are being taken for idiots. Go now please. Why we are being taken for idiots? Who do you propose takes over the £12m debts, EW, part of the old BoD who built up the majority of those debts and didn't seem to have a clue how to clear them? I think you are being gullible if you think someone else is going to come in and clear the debts, build us a new ground and training complex whilst building a Championship chasing squad.

I've sort of given up caring a bit.
WAQ, SH and DC have all said that everything is on hold and we'll be scrimping and penny pinching for years to come.
That's it. Life's a bitch.
However, a few more wins like today and DC might just force the owners into spending money. I bet they'll be panicking if we start storming towards the top 6.

What do people expect to hear? I'ts been said many times that things will go slow because Wael is building the club again from scratch. He said from day 1 in his 1st ever interview that he wont be throwing money around and that we have to be self sustainable. Evolution not revolution. Clearly he knows the training ground and stadium is a priority but its its all still at the planning stage. Its not something that will be done within a few weeks or months. Obviously he is here to stay. So lets get off his back and let him get on with it. The fact is they have pulled the plug on the UWE project and apparently the training ground project will be scaled back. no-one was expecting million pound deals for players, but the money made available for player recruitment has been pathetic by league 1 standards. What do Dwain Sports expect? that they could develop the club on a shoe string? They must have carried out due diligence before they bought the club, and if not you would have to question their credentials as bankers. Since the major capital works have floundered the huge bubble of positive energy generated has been well and truly burst. These people obviously have no idea how sh1ttily the fans have been treated and let down time after time. They obviously have no idea how difficult it is for Rovers fans when they see those absolute Tnucs south of the river effortlessly get a new stadium, spend millions on players, make an underhanded signing of our striker just to stop us going for promotion, to rub our noses in it, the list goes on as to just how much they don't understand. By the way, I thoroughly enjoyed today's win!

I’m not convinced that the training ground has been scaled back necessarily. I reckon that they’ve decided to go with a more sustainable phased approach instead of building everything in one go.
Similar to what’s happpening with the stadium. The problem is communication has been so poor that our neurotic nature from having been exposed to decades of disappointment when it comes to off the field matters (and to a lesser extent, on the field too) means that we assume the worst based on a one off disappointment.
The al Qadis are used to dealing with cool calculated business suits who prefer consistent, staged communication when there’s something to discuss. Not neurotic Bristolian Football supporters who want answers on a whim and aren’t happy if you don’t talk but will complain equally if you put it out there that there’s nothing to say right now.

Wael could not put a time frame on the Training Ground whereas Hamer said July 2019. Did Hamer kick it far enough into the future in the hope that something would happen by then? I believe he was under pressure to give that date just to put some good news out there.

Let’s be fair to Wael.... his family purchased a dead duck. He was probably instrumental in agreeing to buy rovers and herring his family to release the money to do so. He/They did not carry out proper due dillagence of the stadium deal - had they, they would have moved on to the next target. NH and co sold them a dud. Pulling out of UWE was the right move.
Now Wael’s family are probably watching him closely and restricting g his spending. After all, they probably thought they were buying a turn key club that just needed some cash to get players as the new Staduim was financed and ready to go!
This whole rebuilding process was never in their plans.
Just my thoughts

Let's be realistic here:
The stadium may well be developed in much the same way as the training ground seems to be - a phased approach. The east stand will probably be the first to be developed, hence the need to move the club shop so that revenue continues throughout the build.
He's been at the club a very short time and a lot of fans are expecting a brand new stadium within the new year. It just doesn't happen like that. It's hard enough getting planning permission on a house or an extension, let alone a football stadium slap bang in the middle of a residential area.
Cool your jets, nothing here so concerning it needs worrying about (yet!).
