I do feel sorry for DC, imagine showing potential signings around the Mem? What a great selling point that must be! Sounds like we only pay middle of the road wages at best, are only sellling point must be the atttendance numbers and the loyal passionate fans? We need to move forward with better facilities ASAP or we will be a league 1 league 2 yo-yo club forever., Fancy being a half geocentric player, coming to the MEM, being told your going to be training on pitches shared with other teams, then being introduced to Mr Swansea “the Hamer” surely thT has to be a deal breaker, DC is our only positive selling point, best of luck to him.

But that's not really the AQL's fault, you can't turn around 20 years of zero investment around in 20 months, unless you do a Pantsdown and just throw silly money at the problem, although even he's taken over a decade. We just need DC to back to a reasonable degree in January, then news about The Colony and the new ground in the next couple of months.

moronic? Don't think so, the old board were plebs yeh, but they would of got far more than 300K. Are you sticking up for the club on these deals?, it's pathetic, I'll watch this club till I die, but I won't stick my head up there ass, when I think there wrong. And clearly they are on what we've received for our BEST players. Moronic. We got 300K for Taylor instead of nothing. The old board would not have got more because that’s what Taylor and his agent insisted on, not too hard a concept to grasp. Sticking up/implying they did the best they could with the card they were dealt - you choose im choosing to imply that our board are sh** at transfer dealings!! Is that too hard for you to grasp?

The question is have we appointed an architect yet to draw up plans for a redevelopment? Surely doesn't take that long given plans already exist from previous developments, then 6-9 months to get planning permission (which should be relatively straightforward given what has previously been approved for the site). All quite easy apart from one thing and i think we all know what that is!!!!

Also Never sold him to them. Allowing it to even get to that stage is unacceptable.

Think its about time we moved on from Taylor gate. He was never committed to Rovers, as his contract clause proved. I believe you know who signed him following the well published insider dealing , not because they wanted him , but purely to negate the publicity he was bringing to Rovers. We all know the story that stunningly gorgeous , rich , girl or boy can have anyone they choose, not because they want them, but just because they can ! Big club sh**ty couldn't have little old rag bag Rovers joining them in the championship, or as it looked possible at one time, even replacing them, so lets steal their most valuable asset.and put the brake on such audacity! Johnson obviously doses not rate him as he hardly ever plays, but it did have the desired affect on Rovers. Not even sure if he can cut it in the championship, but who knows if he was given the same game time as our Tom Nichols to prove himself, would not surprise me if poor little rich girl/boy dumped him anytime soon back to the level he came from , at a profit!Any way time to move on , last chance saloon for board, not for me ,DC has always made point of thanking them for there backing, so they obviously listen to his views, and will back any reasonable request, good luck to them in there efforts, which i am sure will lead to a storming remainder of season, personally i prefer to recruit young ambitious, lower league players who will bust a gut to prove themselves at our level, and for whom the Allotments (MEM) are at least on a par with what they are used to, or even an improvement, we used to find these players on a regular basis, and we can do it again, dont want to be signing pampered players on there way down! u p the rovers!

The release clause was in because he signed a new contract, but could have gone for nothing in the summer. Once the clause amount was met there was nothing the club could have done about it. It's not ideal, but there was no way we could have got more for him or stopped him for g to them.

He says "I'm off (for nothing) unless there is a 300k release clause". If you recall how long the whole thing dragged on for, we clearly had little choice.

"I really don't know what it is you don't get about the Taylor saga". Everything, judging from his replies.

That would have been the only way to get an increased transfer fee as far as I can work out.

No, not a last chance, they are the owners so in a way they set the rules. To go back to the op they are the owners so they will decide. I would love some positive news about ground or training complex or new signings to strengthen the team. Any of those would be great but I would really love them to come out and talk about their plans for the next few years, give us a way forward and what we might expect. I think it could be such an easy gain on their part to do that and not that difficult. I’m not expecting them to sort out 20 years of stagnation in 2 years but I do expect them as leaders of the club to show leadership and setting out some kind of vision, some sort of plan is a minimum of what they should do. UTG!

With your logic a player would choose bristol city over bournemouth because they get 20,000 gates even though bournemouth pay much more and play in the top division. If fleetwoods crowds are rubbish compared to us ours are rubbish compared to a great many other teams.
