At the BBC forum he said we will lose current training ground next year so "someone needs to pull their fingers out" to sort out new facilities. And previously... "I've been preaching for a long while now. Until this club gets a proper infrastructure, the pressure is on to get that." "It's difficult to keep moving forward, that's got to be the case. I feel like I am under massive pressure, I put myself under intense pressure to get results - that's how it should be. "People should be under intense pressure to make sure they get things moving off the pitch." "We've got the [under] 21's training on a council patch and we've got the youth team training on facilities that are under water now. "We've got to put it all together haven't we? Because you look at the clubs at League One level - Fleetwood have a £7m training complex, Bury - bottom of the league - but training on Man City's old training ground." "We're 30 years behind the times and I'm sick of saying it." If he is that unhappy then he needs to leave. I am surprised if he is that unhappy that he hangs around.Bristol Rovers is obviously a club with no money, no ambition, unsupportive, ready for sale. He must lack ambition to hang around at a club that is going nowhere. If he had any self respect he would leave and get a job at a proper club with multi millionaire owners who can afford to throw money around for short term gain to please the fans who expect nothing less. Perhaps he is hoping for "a white knight to appear" and rid us of these owners.

You might get your wish soon enough. As for "throw money around for short term gain to please the fans who expect nothing less", in not one of those, but I do expect a decent amount of the close to £1 million we've received this to be reinvested back into the team to give us and DC the best possible chance of competing. It seems that we’re receiving the Ellis fee in instalments, so it’s likely that only £200-250,000 of the £750,000 is in our account right now (plus the Gaffney fee, of course). And as we know, our owners don’t top up the manager’s budget. So that’s what he has to play with. Time for Wael to step up to the plate. If he has to beg his big brother, so be it.

If DC is that unhappy he can follow Gary Bowyer's decision (to leave Blackpool) but I think it's his way of venting his frustration.
That said considering the number of people at the club behind the scenes you would have thought someone would have commented on what's going on, why don't the Evening Post and Radio Bristol demand answers instead of just repeating everything they find on here?

Tbf radio Bristol and the BEP can't really demand answers can they? What do you expect them to do, tie up Hamer and hold the whole Al-Qadi family hostage until they give us answers?

I can't see how Wael is to blame for this lad not signing though. We put in a bid for how much we valued him, it was accepted by Walsall but Coventry have come in at the last minute and matched it. The player may just fancy staying in the Midlands?

Looks like a gaffney replacing the way he plays the flanks. Their number 2 looks decent too If you look at the two goals Blisset scored against us for Kidderminster and Plymouth he looks a class act, however, we all know the truth. The common view by Walsall fans is that he's useless and that fans of a team who were nearly relegated. I just wish the ALQ's would sell up and let someone else have a go at running the club. Tbf to blissett when he played against us he wasn’t used as a target man and looked good all we did when he signed was punt it at his head

The player may just fancy staying in the Midlands? It can be as simple as that but unfortunately there is a blame culture amongst Gasheads which is very disappointing. I can't blame Wael and his family for being cautious but in fairness they are trying to build for the future both on and off the field, however they are paying for people who should be communicating with the fans and they are not. That said I think we are naive in firstly just letting players go but secondly allowing Championship clubs to pay on instalments especially when they were not the only ones interested. There are hungry players from lower leagues out there who we should give a chance to and I am sure that all Gasheads would get behind them and who knows we might unearth another gem.

Can't Wael just get Hanni in a headlock like most brothers do?
Then give him some brainwaves, a Chinese burn now and again and tell mum he's p*ssed himself again until he coughs up some monies to buy a decent striker (his pocket money)?

Apparently Bako still hasn't signed for Coventry so it could be we might still hijack the deal, although this is the latest from a Saddlers fan on Coventry's forum, you do have to wonder what CLarke & Robbins see in Bako, or are they both just as desperate as each other:
"Now onto Bakayoko where do I start. I don't know the chap personally but ive seen most of his performances and I really don't think hes fit for the league never mind league 1. I would say he would suit non league at best. his goalscoring record Is atrocious and for someone 6ft 3 he doesn't jump he has an attitude on the pitch that I wouldn't put up with as a manager. ask our fans about our last away game at Fleetwood although we wers safe it was a chance for him to try and adhere himself to the fans and new manager not walk round like he couldn't be bothered. the manager took the extra year in our favour on him to command a fee and most walsall fans would drive him to his new club. if walsall get 200k for him it would be the best bit of business weve done this decade. but if you flip the coin hes young and maybe another club could bring out the best in him remember most walsall fans when deeney was sold for 300k to Watford said the same and at some point 30 million was being touted for him a few years back. the pure fact that 2 non league strikers have come in and gone above him shows you what the manager must think. if you do sign him I hope it works out for both parties but 200k my god such an expensive price for such an unimpressive player. those you tube clips show 5 mins of 5 seasons don't be fooled!!!

So we could, and no doubt will, negotiate the same thing with other clubs. We don't need £750k in the bank now to spend £750k on replacements.
